Pros:
"installed in my home, easy install, works simply. I am would prefer the controls to be accessed locally not web based AND I wish the mobil/cell website had a log off button when you were done using the site. Other than that, this is a FANTASTIC ITEM and worth the $$ to me."
Pros:
"We have so far bought four of these units as a test in mountain rental cabins. The goal is to provide ease of use to the occupant while having limits to temperature settings and be able to change settings when unoccupied. This device fits that bill perfectly. Very easy to install and setup. The occupant cannot by design change major system settings or schedules. Just raise or lower temps within the preset limits.
The only drawbacks I see are the mounting procedure for the wall control. The control design doesn't allow for a means to positively fasten to the wall and has the potential to get dislodged.
The web interface can be confusing on first use as the instructions do not exactly mirror what you see on the screen. There are also four modes to choose from and it wasn't clearly defined how they are different from each other.
These are minor issues that get worked out with time but overall a great product and great idea."

Cons:
"I have 15 years of backround with commmercial HVAC controls, so when looking for a product that was affordable and easy for my family to use and understand Bayweb fit the bill.
I've had very good experience, with Pro the product. I have found only one drawback, if you have a hybrid system ie: heat-pump with a multi-stage gas furnace, you do not have the ability to control multiple stages of furnace as well as multi-stages of heat-pump. After speaking with Bayweb they said they are working on adding this to future releases. I have multiple occupancy sensors installed and the set-back works very well. I used the other available inputs for a water detector and a supply temperature sensor. Everything works very well.
The web-page is fairly intuitive but more direction and labeling would help ease set-up and configuration.
Overall a 4 out of 5."
Pros:
"Installed in my lake house. Unit easy to adjust through their portal and system will notify you if there is an issue. had a problem with fan not coming on at first, cantact tech support and they told me that it would correct itself when I registered it. So far so good. I think I will get one for my full time residence as well! Wish they would build an iphone app although the iphone has no issue with accessing their portal."

"I purchased the Bayweb thermo to install in a vacation home in the mountains. Its been in operation for about two weeks and so far I've been very satisfied. I've never installed a thermo before but had no trouble installing and setting up the system. I very much like the network capability of this model. It's great to be able to turn on the heat at my cabin before arriving, particularly at night. I also like the security features of using the motion sensor to alert me if someone enters.
The web based controls are very comprehensive. In addition to basic info on temperature there are lots of cool features such as graphs of temperature and energy use. The user interface is flexible and well layed out. While they have done a pretty good job of making it intuitive, given the nature of the system (eg, network controls and lots of options of controlling times) it will take you some time to learn how to operate it.
My one recommendation to the manufacturer is to offer an option for a wi-fi network connection. There's only an Ethernet port and it would be easier in many cases to use wireless rather than run network cable.
All in all, I have no problem recommending this product."
