Provided by Rock Creek Outfitters

Since their introduction in 1987, Black Diamond Camalots have undergone three generations of refinement, while continuously proving themselves as trusted partners on the racks of climbers worldwide. Their patented double-axle design created a range of placement and strength unequaled by any other camming device—critical advantages that are still preferred 17 years later.  BD has developed a technology in their head designs and cable stems, offering the greatest opportunity for solid placements by utilizing a larger expansion range. Significantly lighter weights than past cams, better flexibility and smooth action make the C4 Camalots the best protection available.

Simply the best cam on the market

"There is nothing better to ease your fears than knowing the piece below you is a well placed Camalot. The C4's new trigger design works great with gloves, has a solid smooth action and the thumb loop is very secure. The double axle design offers unrivaled weight to expansion range ratios. Nothing else inspires more confidence and when on the sharp end that is an important attribute. Sizes .5-3 are the workhors..." Read Full Review »

"The backbone of any trad rack. The dual axle not only increases the range, but makes placement feel simple. I preferred other cams until BD updated the C4 with a thumb loop. Now I've got the .4 to 4 and take them on a route before anything else. In smaller sizes, however, I prefer the more solid TCU …"  Read Full Review »

"Since the day I started using BD cams, I have loved them. Because of the double-axle design , I trust this cam as a chock in the uncammed position (something that can only be done with these cams). Also, these have by far the smoothest triggers and are extremely lightweight. They may be a little pri …"  Read Full Review »

"BD camalots are simply the best. There may be other cams that work better in funky placements, but for all-around performance, BD can't be beat. Super solid and easy to maintain. I've abused mine for several years, and they still operate like they did out of the box. Worth the extra dough. "

"There is no comparison. Spend a little extra and buy .3 - #4. The range, holding power and single stem are uncomparable. The dual offset axle is genius. It really works. "
