Just Kids Stuff Military Toddler Bed

"My 2 year old son absolutely loves this bed. We transitioned him from a crib that was converted with a toddler rail to this bed. He looks forward to getting into it to go to sleep every night. It is simple, sturdy and easy to assemble. My husband and one other person put it together in 15-20 minutes and all the parts were there. I didn't give it 5 stars because I think it's a little pricey."

Plus, When he outgrows the bed, we are going to use it as a giant sandbox on the porch or just keep toys in his room... It's too cute to ever get rid of. "Overall, I am very pleased with our new military toddler bed. Our 21 month old son likes it, and we are transitioning him from his crib to the bed now. More importantly, it is solid and sturdy so I can feel comfortable about him sleeping in it. The corners are rounded and smooth; there is nothing for him to poke himself with.

However, let me note to other customers that the bed arrived with some problems: a misplaced, exposed screw, a support rail that was separated from the rest of the bed, a different rail that was not centered properly so the pieces don't sit flush, and a very sharp piece of splintered wood that would be exposed to the bed occupant. My husband was able to fix all of these craftsmanship flaws. Additionally, there are no pre-drilled guide holes. For the price, I expected better."

"The bed is super cute and for our son - it was love at first site.

As we unpackaged the product, however, we found that there were quite a few missing parts (screws, and cross bars).

We worked around that and then once my husband began assembling the bed, he found that one of the tires was only held on by one screw and was put on crooked. Getting everything to match up and straighten out did take additional time.

Like I said, the bed is super cute and our son loves it. Once we got passed the missing or mis-assembled issues, it was quite sturdy and I think we'll be very happy with the overall product.

"My wife and I decorated our son's room like a jungle so we thought a bed that looked like a jeep would be a cute addition. The bed came with 14 screws and the instructions stated use the 12 shorter ones to secure the front, back, and sides... the only problem with that is that all the screws are the exact same length. Once I put it together, it was not level or sturdy... came to realize a back wheel was only secured with 1 screw instead of 3 like the others. Called Customer Service and it was basically like leaving a message on someone's home answering machine. No call back after three tries so sent an email. Finally got a call back and was literally told, "I'll be... looks like we goofed. First time it's happened." Can you believe that? The manufacturer of the toddler taking such a cavalier attitude on a safety issue? No apology, no we'll send you the missing parts, no here's what you should do, no nothing. Now see a post from a woman in Colorado that experienced the exact same quality control issue. I never take the time to post about anything, but this is a bed that is shoddily made and ultimately unsafe."

"We purchased this bed when my son was only 8 months old. We set it up next to his crib and he would play in it during the daytime. After one long day out when he was 11 months old, I put him in this bed and he didn't fuss (too tired)! The next day, I tried again and it was great! Ever since he was 11 months old, he has been loving this fun Jeep bed.



I really like the fact that it is made out of wood and doesn't look cheaply made. Very sturdy too."

"This bed is so cute! It was really easy to put together (15 min). It’s sturdy and easy for my 19 month old to get in and out. The crib mattress fits perfectly, and the sheets are easy to change. I had a four poster crib, so this bed did look small in the same spot. I built a camouflage canopy that hangs from the ceiling to jazz up the top. I'm in the process of selling my home, and everyone that comes through compliments me on the bed. I would recommend this bed to anyone!"

"We bought this bed for our 2 year, old and he loves it. The first night we had it he slept all night; a milestone for us! The bed is low to the ground and is very safe. The idea is so cute and matches his room perfectly since we did a safari theme. I would highly recommend this bed!"

"This bed is super cute, and my two year old son loved it from the moment he saw it. The reason why I gave it 4 stars is b/c the manufacturer should be using kid friendly paint. When we opened the box the fumes where so strong it gave me a headache. We left it in a spare room with the window open for an entire day."

"I had been looking for the perfect bed to go with a safari-themed room. Not only was this perfect, but it took me less than a half an hour with only a screwdriver, and all of my kids love it. They all read stories in it and my 2 yo boy took to it immediately. Highly recommended and cute."
