"I always bought Cuisinart toasters since they were guaranteed for three years and always broke before then (I live near a repackaging facility where it's easy to replace them). Anyway, Cuisine stopped making the style I liked so I thought I'd try the Breville since I have their electric kettle & like it a lot. Great Toast. then it Broke
"I like lightly toasted bread that isn't dried out by the toaster. This Breville did an excellent job of giving me that. Golden toast, yet not brittle. This toaster was used about once a week. After 10 months, the toaster would only work on bagel setting, which means only the two inside heat panels worked. Nothing I did would make the toaster reset itself to regular toasting. "We use a toaster several times a day so they don't usually last us, which is why we've always bought Cuisinart toasters that come with a 3 year warranty. Cuisinart always wound up giving us a new toaster before the 3 years was up.
