Improvements Over Earlier Model
"I decided to get this instead of just getting a new cartridge for the similar model my brother gave me 13 years ago. I had it in a box and forgot I had it so I'm surprised the tape still worked. I was surprised they no longer included the tool to get the backing off the tape. Even with the tool it could be hard to remove. Brother PT-1880 label maker/good&bad
"The Cons:The label maker WASTES label because it doesn't print anything on the first inch and a half of EVERY label it prints.DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT LOOSE THE OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS or you are SCREWED.Trying to "clear out " all the settings and getting back to no settings is VERY DIFFICULT.I hit the wrong button and it took me 45 min. and 2+ feet of label to get out of the wrong setting.The label cartridges ..." This product is great!
"I use this product primarily for file folder labels. It's very easy to use and has several settings making it possible to create variety of different labels. I also like the fact that this label maker takes several tape sizes for various applications. "
