"I visited beautiful Costa Rica the first time in 2004 and went on a highlight tour that included Cafe Britt plantation. I was hooked immediately and had two cases shipped home to arrive before I would get back. Since then I order several times a year. . .and this is the ONLY item that my husband and I do not grow, fish for or make at home that goes in Christmas baskets for our families. "I was quite excited to order and have a first sip of this coffee, knowing so many excellent Costa Rica's coffees. Taste of this coffee is bland, watery tasting (it doesn't matter how many spoons of coffee you use per cup) something is missing!!! – it is not by far one of the best of Costa Rica's coffees...(My opinion)...." Pros:
"I was always a coffee wannabe, loved the smell, hated the bitter taste. That all changed this past summer when we had the opportunity to spend 2 weeks in Costa Rica. At a hotel near Arenal, we were served Brit coffee, my son had asked for it. I said I would try it because he begged me. I was amazed, it was smooth, like chocolate, the flavor bounced off my tongue. The staff said they were serving Brit Terrazu. Honestly I probably have had 5 cups of coffee in my life, now I am hooked, but only on Brit and I prefer Terrazu. In fact, I have already placed 2-20 bag orders. I have shared it with everyone at work and have had my daily supply with milk and sugar and I could not be happier. Brit Terrazu has turned a non coffee drinker into a Brit fan for life! It is the highlight of my day! Thanks!"

"Our very large aerospace company hails from land of a large worldwide coffee stores and thus that is what it is served in the company. However at this branch in So. California I introduced our department to Britt Dark Roast and Tarrazu. End of story. We have not seen one of the other beans in this area since.
We alternate the product so we can get both flavors. I travel to CR on vacation every six months and buy the product for export from your store. However Tarrazu seems to be the favorite because of the aroma and smooth taste."
Pros:
"Nothing like grinding fresh beans from this coffee selection in the morning and brewing them in a drip coffee maker. When grinding and brewing this coffee I feel like I am back in Costa Rica, visiting Cafe Britt but it especially remembering the beautiful mountain side where the beans are picked. I love this coffee!!"

If a picture is worth a thousand words... How long is this review?
"We have always loved this Britt coffee. From the moment a friend shared it with us we've never liked any other coffee. It has the depth of a full bodied coffee without being over powering yet it's mild enough to be smooth and gentle for even the most picky coffee drinkers we serve. Everyone that we serve it for asks "wow, what kind of coffe is this, it's great"."
Pros:
"I can honestly say this is one of the BEST coffee's i've had the pleasure of drinking! My friend brought some back from Costa Rica-I took one sip and knew this was something extraordinary.
I literally put my feet up on the coffee table, relaxed and felt it's wonderful warmth and aroma take over...I was in love!
Up until this point, I had all but given up trying to find the perfect coffee. The local coffee shop brews must be adulterated with creams, milk, sugars, and syrups just to make them palatable.
Tarrazu is wonderful black, but add a little milk and a touch of sugar and this stuff is heavenly!
I served it at a party and used the entire bag-I had guests milling about my coffee station the entrie time just talking about this coffee! I went through an entire bag! All the coffee drinkers knew this was not your typical, commercially served brew. There was always someone asking where I got it, who makes it, etc.
Most people purchase coffee for their coffee machine, I'm going to purchase a machine for this coffee! I had used a run of the mill drip machine, and this coffee STILL tasted wonderful. I realized I could really showcase this coffee with a better machine.
I can't wait to try some of the other coffee's from Cafe' Britt."
Pros:
"Before me lay the thick, green foliage of the Atarrazu Valley, pristine and perfect in the way it stimulates my mind, giving me a clarity of sense of my connection to the earth, and with the spirit that lives in everything natural. Somewhere nearby I could make out the laughter of children playing in a bustling native Huetar Indian village, signaling the beginning of another day full of discovery and promise. Then, I heard the drums begin, calling out softly at first, to awaken and appease the God of the ancient sleeping volcano; offering thanks for its peace and the people's willingness to adorn the valley with more beautiful coffee bean plants in honor of the volcano god's sleeping majesty. As the morning breeze reached me, I clearly detected the unmistakable aroma of the roasted sacred coffee beans, tantalizing my nostrils, urging my mind to awaken fully and embrace also this day of promise and discovery. I instictively took a sip of the rich (Tarrazu) coffee from the cup I had just poured; and closed my kitchen window as I put my favorite morning vision to rest. I arose; now ready to be part of today."
Pros:
"Because of the efforts of the Albany State University Concert Chorale, I had the pleasure of a visit to the Cafe Brit Plantation in Costa Rica and it was an eye-opener! I learned so much about my favorite beverage. Because I also wanted to share the many delicious coffees sampled there at the site, I purchased some for myself in the shop and shipped a box of several coffees home to share with the Ladies of the Tea Committee. These ladies, although they have hosted many Teas as campus fundraisers for the Concert Chorale, after sampling the Coffee Gifts, have unanimously decided to make our next fundraiser a Cafe Britt coffee event. Although only two of us took the plantation tour, we now have a new coffee favorite (all of us are Cafe Britt converts), even the Tea-Totaler! Thanks, Cafe Britt, for a delicious and exceptional coffee!"

"First off, as a frequent traveler to Costa Rica, I've had the opportunity to try all the major coffee brands. I've come to favor Britt, however; it's a quality company with quality product.
Until fairly recently, Cafe Britt basically offered only a couple of choices: a red bag (light) and a green bag (dark). I prefer light roasts in general,so whenever I would visit Costa Rica, I would bring back a couple of red bags for myself, a combination of red and green for friends.
Then came these other Britt blends, along with the ability to order online. I've since sampled them all. Some I like. Some I don't. I place several orders per year with roasters in different countries(Coffee makes a great gift!). With regard to the Britt orders, I found myself gravitating to two blends in particular.
Tarrazu Montecielo ranks as my overall favorite. I wouldn't consider it light, nor dark; rather, medium-body. Flavorful, slightly punchy, but not overpowering. Pleasing first thing in the morning as well as after dinner, it's an ideal "anytime" blend. My Number 2 is Tres Rios, a definite light roast, smooth, aromatic, slightly fruity, a nice subtle coffee to wake up with. My coffee-loving friends have echoed my sentiments, which is why Tarrazu Montecielo and Tres Rios make up the lion's share of my Britt orders."

"This is the best coffee I've ever tasted. I have travelled the world sampling coffees and was suprised to find my favorite in Costa Rica! It is rich, smooth, full bodied with low acidity and a delicious aroma and taste which lingers sip by sip. It is wonderful with the morning paper or the morning duties (I am an attorney and love drinking it while I ponder over my cases for the day). It is also a wonderful pick me up later in the afternoon. It has a unique taste and everyone I've made it for can recognize that it is a special coffee."
