Not long ago the highly versatile CamelBak Unbottle stormed the backcountry, winning Backpacker Magazine's Editor's Choice Award for its versatility and durability. CamelBak recently refined the dynamic insulated design with Slick Clips and a Ladder-lock handle that quickly and easily attach to the interior or exterior of any hiking day pack, cycling pannier or climbing backpack. Because the durable polyurethane Omega Reservoir on the CamelBak Unbottle is fully insulated and covered with a rugged 500-denier Cordura cover, you can attach it to your pack exterior without any concerns about wear, tear or lukewarm beverages (toss a couple of ice cubes into the wide screw top and you'll be sipping cool refreshment for miles). If you're tired of lugging water bottles or making other compromises with your favorite backpack, the CamelBak Unbottle is a smart solution that clips into most packs without the need for a tailor or a bunch of extra attachment accessories.

The ideal hot-weather companion

"I tested the Unbottle against my PolarPak gel-cooled water bag and another basic water bag on my sunny patio table on a blistering June day, and the Unbottle won hands down. After nearly 2 hours, the Unbottle was the only one with a few slivers of ice inside, and the water was a chilly 50 F compared to 70 F in the other two, and after 3 hours, when the water in the other two bags had reached nearly 100 F, the Un..." I used to carry my water in gallon jugs, I'm concidering going back to that method.

"No, this thing's better than a gallon jug. I like how well it fits in my pack, but if I want to carry it on the outside I'll have to do some modifications to it. specifically to the buckles you see on either side. these should be D-rings, but instead I found the type of buckle in to which you insert a 1" strap. My pack is missing this particular configuration of straps, as are most any other pack I've seen. On t..." Read Full Review »

"The unbottle is awesome!! The volume is great and the padding certainly keeps water cool for a long time. What separates this from other reservoirs is obviously the insulation and lock. While filling with a filter, the insulation helps keep the reservoir upright and rigid allowing for easier filli …"  Read Full Review »

"This thing holds so much water! It clips on to almost anything and is very secure. Long hose makes it easy to hook this thing onto the the back of your pack and still get the mouthpiece. "I have owned this water bottle for 3 or 4 yrs now, and I still love it. I have seriously abused this camelbak, and it just keeps going. "I've used this on several occasions and it has served me well with no leaks at all. The 3 liter capacity is about as high as it gets. The sleeve keeps water cool on hot day hikes and keeps it from freezing on snow trips. Best thing about it is that Camelbak guarantees it for life! My only complaint …"  Read Full Review »
