8-Digit LED Display: The high-visibility LED dialog system gives you short, plain-language instructions. Select from eight programming and look-up functions: Filter, Hardness, Aroma, Auto-Off, ML/OZ (displays coffee volume in milliliters or ounces), Rinse, Statistics (displays how many coffee you have made) or Language (English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, or Dutch).

Easy Push-Button Operation: Press the one-cup button to choose from mild, regular, or strong brew strength, as well as between Aroma Standard and Aroma Robust. The Aroma Robust option sets the grinder to grind one second longer in each of the three strength settings, making your coffee even more intense. Press the two-cup button to produce twice as much coffee as the current cup size setting. With the height-adjustable coffee spout, any cup will fit easily underneath.

High-Pressure Brewing: The brewing chamber automatically adjusts to hold between five and 16 grams of coffee, perfectly tamping each freshly ground batch in seconds. Coffee grounds are evenly moistened and conditioned through a two-step pre-infusion cycle, then brewed with a high-pressure 18-bar power pump for maximum flavor extraction. Each drink is finished with a thick layer of crema, which traps the coffee's lightest flavors and most subtle aromatics. Brew up to 40 espressos at a time with the large-capacity 64-ounce removable water container.

Dual Frother Plus System: Simply push the steam button to activate the Dual Frother Plus whenever you need to steam or froth milk. The ThermoBlock heating system reaches steaming temperature within seconds, and you can immerse the frother in your cup or pitcher of milk. The frother function can be set from three to 120 seconds, and offers two settings: Latte (for steaming milk) and Cappuccino (for steaming and frothing milk). The Dual Frother Plus can also be used to release hot water for Cafe Americano or tea.

ThermoBlock Heating System: The Impressa E8 features a state-of-the-art 1,450-watt ThermoBlock heating system, so it's always ready to brew coffee and steam milk - no downtime required! Water never touches any internal aluminum components during the heating process, eliminating unpleasant taste transfer.

CLEARYL Water Care System: The CLEARYL system guarantees better-tasting coffee by removing impurities like chlorine, lead, aluminum, and copper. A special organic additive removes almost all carbon and eliminates decalcifying altogether. To make sure you always have the best water possible, an electronic cartridge inside the filtering system indicates when it needs changing.

Automatic Cleaning Cycles: When the Impressa E8 is turned on or off, an automatic hot-water rinse cycle activates to clean and preheat all of the machine's vital brewing components. The automatic cleaning cycle indicator prevents coffee oil buildup and rancid residue in the brew chamber, and the LED display gives clear instructions for the 15-minute automated tablet cleaning program, which will generate an automatic cleaning reminder after approximately 200 brew cycles. Automatic indicators inform you of the water filter and cleaning-cycle status, as well as used coffee and water levels. An electronic water-level sensor guarantees the machine will never operate without water.
