"I bought this straightener years ago and I absolutely loved it. You can imagine my great disappointment when mines finally gave out on me. I have curly hair and it straightened my hair with ease. This straightener is easy to use. It has a swivel cord and it comes with detangling comb that attaches to the straightener which I also really liked about it. Great product for a great price. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!"

"I've bought this model like 6 times I think. It works like magic with my hair. I have very thick, wavy, uncontrolable hair but this straightener gets it straight in a matter of minutes and I get nothing but compliments on my hair. It has consistently broken around every 6 months however. In the middle of use one morning something just randomly snaps in the handle without warning and it can either no longer close or is locked shut. I use it every single day up to the breaking point tho, so I am very pleased with what it offers me while it works. I know I should invest in a more expensive one that may last longer but I just can't get over the results this gives me."

"It's hard to say if I would recommend this. In the past, I had nothing but praise for this flatiron. That is, until the day it just SUDDENLY DIED. I had been taking good care of this product for about 3 years, never dropping it, and putting it away when I was finished with it. One fine day, when I plugged it in, the lights were on but the plates never heated up and that was that.



I was upset since I have thick wavy hair and need to straighten it. My sister had the same model (3 years) and let me have hers since she doesn't need it anymore. I used that one just fine for about a month, but then as I was putting it away, the handle broke, separating from the plate and exposing the wires inside.



I need another one, but I'm not sure if I would buy this same model or brand, if it's going to break down FOR NO REASON at some random time.

While I used it, I got great results. But you want to be able to depend on your products as well, especially when you take good care of them.



CON-AIR, please note that most of the negative reviews of this product include SUDDENLY DYING and BROKEN HANDLES. Please remedy this in future versions and you will have many faithful fans."

"I purchased this product about a year ago, and I am so upset. When I used this straightener, it would get so hot, and burn my hair off! In fact, it got so hot that I burned my finger on my hair while straightening it. My side bangs now have a big patch that is burned off and sticks straight up! I wish I would have paid the extra money and saved my hair."

"This product was horrible for me. i go to school in the morning so I wanted a striaghtener that would, work fast, actualy striaghten not fri my hair, and would last for a long time. But I am on a budget so I defenitly didn't want a [$] dollar straightener. I didn't think that was to much to ask for. But when i get up in the morning I needed to blow dry my hair, I have a vidal sassoon blow dryer that is GREAT so I used that until my hair was dry. It made my hair look healthy. Then i used the straightener and it FRIED MY HAIR, but on top of that didn't even straighten my hair!!!! My hair curls at the ends and I hate that cause one side curls out then the other curls in so it looks odd so I thought by making it striaght down it would look better, but this straightener didn't do anything!! exepect take away the natural look of my hair! it wa horrible. So I recommend that you buy an expensive hair straightener that will work than waste money on buying aweful ones like this."

"Like my headline says this truly is the best flat iron ever! I have thick, long, curly hair and so far this is the only flat iron that will strighten my hair the way I like it. I have been using this flat iron for the past 6 years now and I refuse to swich brands. Even though I have dropped it like a billion times and its falling apart, it still works as good as it did when I bought it. Even my friends who use this flat iron tell me that this one worke better than their own $300 flat irons! The ony reason Im getting a new one is because I accidentaly broke it lol. Over all its a vary durable product that lasts ages and works wonderfully! Conair, please dont ever get rid of this product!"

"At first this product was great for me. It was the fisrts straighner I have ever bought. My Friends recomended a CONAIR straightner cause my hair was alread straight, and they aren't too pricy. I just needed something to keep it tame. But after a couple uses, the comb kept falling out and my hair would get caught in the crevices between the plate and the plastic. It is also inconsistant at times. It works great at first, but after 10 times or so it didn't seem to work well. It also didn't clamp as tight as it did at fisrt. The design looks kinda cheep. I was very excited when i bought it, but now I will end up haveing to buy another one, more expensive, and spending more money since i bought this one first. I was very disapointed by this prouduct. CONAIR has a very good reputation, and i have used their prouducts before, but this purchase was a big waste of my time and money."

"I purchased this straightener almost 2 years ago and I LOVE it! My hair is wavy and really really thick and very unmanagable. One of the things I hate most about all of the straighteners I've tried is how looooong it takes to straighten my hair and then it still looks frizzy. This straightener is easy to use and straightend my hair very quickly. It left it silky smooth and stayed straight all day. I don't really have any comlaints about this straightener. Just recently it stopped heating up but like I said I've had it for almost 2 years and used it EVERY day! I never had a problem with it being flimsy, I actually always found that it was very durable considering I dropped it a half a dozen times and it never broke. I will deff. be buying another one!"
