"I would not recommend this scale to anyone who wants a consistent read out of their weight. Right now it is 1 pound too high. At times it may read 6 pounds low or two pounds high...." Read Full Review

"My mother received the higher model than this that reads Muscle Mass as well, and her scale worked brilliantly measuring my body fat % and weight.
When I purchased this scale, it said Had 21% body fat (4 months before I had 6% body fat on my mother's scale). I found this odd, but since I hadn't been working out recently I let it go. I've since noticed that if I lose weight or it reads low, it says I lost body fat, and if I gain weight it says I gained body fat; it's completely arbitrary as to muscle mass.
It does a calculation based on your height and weight and determines your body fat from there. For evidence of this I held a 5lbs weight while standing on the scale and it said I gained 2% body fat.
It's a find scale for body weight, but is worthless for body fat analysis."

"I agree with other reviews that this scale is not consistant. Yes, you can get a different weight, body fat, bone density and water weight reading even if you step on the scale two seconds later.
Tracked readings for a period of time. During that period I lost about 10-15 lbs (this is accurate) however my bone density dropped .1 pt with this weight loss. I would say the only measurment that is somewhat accurate or reliable would be the weight reading. Even though that's not accurate either. My scale has also now malfunctioned saying I weight 98 lbs. Ha, I wish.
Features are not accurate and therefore are not worth any additional cost."

"I thought i would splurg and buy a really nice scale as it is pricer than most. HMMM this scale is a total joke! it will give you differant readings almost every time you step on even if you step on it minute after minute. morning i wieghed 153.8 two minutes later 151.0 two minutes later 151.9 after I ate breakfast and dranks 12 oz of fluid i weigh 149.2 ( WHATEVER) 5 min later back up to 153.0 I finally got so ticked off after weeks of this junk! i went to a store and opened about 5 scales and sat there going over the majority of what I weighed ... and I weigh 149 on all but one of the scales. don't waste you money!!!! and I am so sorry i threw away my receipt because i would love to throw this thing out the window"

Cons:
"Wow! You're weight must fluctuate a lot! ahahah.... Really, too bad about the scale. The only thing a scale needs to be is consistent and they can't even get this right."
"It looks cute, but since it gives a different weight each time you get on it, not very usefull. Also there was no instruction book, so never did fiqure out how to get the other readings. Taking it back to the store today for a refund and will not choose a Conair product for replacment. Besides, the box says "2006" and this is "2009" , tells a little story, Huh?"
Cons:
"This scale is very inconsistent in weight measurements and therefore inaccurate. Stand on it and it might give you 158.4, step on it again and it will say 159.6, step again minutes later and you might get 157.8. Its pretty useless if you're trying to track your weight closely."
Cons:
"It is very difficult to set this scale. Don't make a mistake, you won't be able to correct it. It set me up as a man at the end of my set up and it won't let me change it. I have not used it since I brought it. It just sits around on the floor."

"Sorry that link didn't come in right, try this one(they should add an edit function!)

"My wife had this scale before we got married, so I was also curious on how to set it up and get it working. The instructions can be found here(http://www.conair.com/instruction_booklets/06AD15055%20IB%20TH313.pdf)
Onceyou figure it out, it is actually pretty intuitive and I feel a bit unsavy not being able to figure it out.
For everyone else complaining about it being unreliable, changing + or - 1lb every 2 minutes from an initial weigh in, that is less than 1% discrepancy. This Scale is fairly accurate and you are being neurotic over your weight. Maybe decrease your weigh ins to once a week, that way all changes are concrete and your working against a solid baseline."
"When I bought this unit I weighed 200lb and the 30% BF seemed accurate. I now weigh 175 and the BF reading is 26.4%. I have added muscle during the weight loss period. This feature is a joke."
Pros:
Cons:
"worked great, weight function still does , dsapointed Bio can not be reset, I,m a year older now."
Pros:
"This is how you reset your bio.
Push on the scale so it turns on, when the weight, 0.0 comes up, hit the set up button, you'll then select your user with either up or down keys, once your user # is highlighted hit set up button to proceed. Then it will come up with height, change if needed , then hit setup button again, it will follow by age and gender. Do the same things, change with the arrows and hit setup to proceed.
Full instructions I found on their website by doing a google search of the product number(TH313 I believe), here are the brief instructions
