Great for any child

"This chair is sturdy durable and easy to put together. Its a little hard to clean but not compared to other high chairs. My son is two now and he stands up in it all the time but because it is so sturdy it doesn't tip over. I love it too because it matches my kitchen table."

Not Recommended

"For my first child, I registered for this chair, thinking it would be nice to have a high chair that blended into our decor. What a mistake!! I didn't want one of those plastic, tacky looking chairs. What a MISTAKE we made!!



Firstly, the chair DOES NOT RECLINE, so it makes it impossible to feed an infant who is just starting solids. We ended up feeding my son in his bouncy seat. The only position in this seat is completely upright.



Secondly, the padding is thin and once my son was old enough to sit COMPLETELY UPRIGHT, he kept hitting his head on the back of the chair = so my husband put a towel in between the cushion and the wood.



Third, this chair is VERY hard to move, because it is heavy and there are no wheels. So forget about trying to carry it outside on a nice day while holding your infant.



We made due with this chair until my son got into the 18 month mark - except the tray was now too narrow for his legs! My son is tall but not heavy, and the tray kept pinching his legs!! So my husband took it apart, had to drill some holes into the wood and plastic, and try to expand the tray. Because of the problems with this chair as my son got older, we just switched him into a booster seat early.



Now that I am expecting our second child, I am forgoing looks for functionality and will get a chair that will suit our child from infancy to toddlerhood.



If you are thinking of this chair, because you want something that matches decor, or looks better than those plastic chairs, FORGET THIS ONE. Deal with the plastic for two years."

After two months, still good as new

"We really like this high chair. It looks nice, my son seems comfortable in it, and the top insert is dishwasher safe. Yes, small crumbs get under the top insert but that's okay. It takes two seconds to wipe up and throw the top piece in the dishwasher. Some of the complaints seem rather lazy. Having to clean and care for the chair is part of ownership, controlling your child in a high chair is normal. It helps to build table manners because who likes to be seated in a restaurant next to someone who can't control their child. This chair is great because it doesn't overly restrain a young child. This chair teaches a child proper posture, and allows them the freedom to learn to sit up and eat and maintain their balance. We haven't saw any problems with the chair showing signs of wear and we use it three times a day and with snacks and occassionally for playtime because my 10 month old son likes his chair so much. I really think this is a good purchase and I would recommend it to my friends and family."

Not Worth the Money

"I purchased this highchair bc I didnt want an ugly platic thing taking up space in my dinning room. This one seemed like the perfect match to our decor and since it was going to be a staple in the room, I wanted it to blend.



How naive was I. Not only is is VERY hard to clean, but the wood has chipped leaving unfinished marks along the legs. Also, both of my children who have used it band their heads against the padless top of the chair. Granted they need to learn NOT to protest their green beens in this manner, but reasoning with an infant is quite difficult. I have since purchaced a $20 fisher price portable booster with tray and that has worked perfectly. If I were to do it all over again, I would go with the booster seat with tray..even for an infant at 6 months. They are very secure and stable and as far as matching my decor... you can easily disappear the booster seat in a second."

Best high chair!

"I have a very small kitchen/home so of course I wanted one of the plastic folding high chairs. Then I looked at the old high chair my mom brought out of the attic to use at her house. It was simple, sturdy and took up less room at the base then the new, fancy plastic high chairs! So I bought this high chair. It is wonderful. So easy to clean! My 9 month old loves it. The straight back has actually really helped his posture and back strength. He also has room to adjust and look around. Since it is made of wood and really nice looking I keep it sitting out in the kitchen all the time. It takes up less room than a small chair. The tray is really easy to take off with one hand especially since the high chair is so sturdy. The traytop goes right into dishwasher. We love this chair so much we take it on trips to visit family. It is actually very easy to move around in our house and while traveling! I can not say enough great things about this chair!"
