"First, I completely disagree with the reviewer saying that backless boosters are not safe. As long as the booster is used appropriately with an auto safety belt the 'back' to the seat is the seat in the car and it's nearly impossible to use a 5 point harness with an older, larger child. Even the 3-stage child seats that go from 5 lbs to 80lbs recommend that you take out the bottom leg harness when the child is i..." Read Full Review

"We have aGRaco booster that we love. My brother just bought this booster seat last night to use in his truck when he is in town visiting. The first thing I noticed about this seat is that it seemed cheaply made (Can't expect much for the price I guess) Lap belt and shoulder belt were in the correct possitions and seemed to fit my 6yr old well. The bottom of this seat is very jagged and rough and left scratch mar..." Read Full Review
"Ohio just changed their seat belt laws making it mandatory that kids up to age 8 need to use a booster seat. Previously the cut off age was 4 so my 7 year old didn't need to use one. She turns 8 in about 5 months so I was reluctant to spent alot of money. This seat fit the bill. My daughter likes it because it's comfortable and looks more grown up than some of the other cutsie seats that are out there. I like it because it's very reasonably priced, and fits well into the narrower seat cushions of my Honda civic."
"This booster is marketed for use in kids 30-100 lbs and 34-57" tall and it fits my 3yr old who is 36 lbs and 37 inches tall. The seatbelt hits her in just the right place on her chest, without cutting into her neck at all.
We've only just bought it, but so far its working for us!"

The bottom of this seat is very jagged and rough and left scratch marks on the leather seats. Were going to try putting a towel down to see if that helps.
I think the seat will be okay since it will only be used when company is in town. I think for everyday use it would probably fall apart."
"I am the mother of 4 children. I have purchased 2 of these so far. Great item for the price.
My youngest is a little guy so he still uses a booster seat. I drive a minivan...3 rows...he was sitting in the middle row in this booster seat and with his seat belt on the the correct way. Anyway, I was at a complete stop waiting to turn and we were rearended by a pickup truck that was speeding and not paying attention. We all walked away with minor injuries. My point is there are a lot of choices when it comes to car/booster seats and a lot of horror stories about all of them but we as consumers MUST take responsibility and learn how to use these items properly."
"A few weeks ago, I ordered a booster seat online.. My grand child was coming from Europe with his parents and we needed a seat fast. I was looking for non expensive, light weight seat that they could carry during the 3 week trip throughout California.. They had to take various planes and with the Highrise Booster Seat, they did not have for extra luggage or weight.
This was perfect: not expensive, light and it arrived on time!
Thanks Target!

"This fits my 4-year-old daughter perfectly! It's not the most comfortable car seat, but the price is right and she likes it. She has never complained about it being uncomfortable - just looks like I wouldn't want to sit on it for long. =) It does look cheaply made, but I really don't care as long as my child is safe, so I still give it 4 stars."
"This seat has been perfect for our child. Now that Ohio requires kids to be in a booster until 8 years old we have purchased several to use with our carpool group. Our son has never complained about it being uncomfortable and we do a lot of long-distance traveling to visit family. I would recommend this seat to anyone!"
"These type seats are really convenient to use, lightweight, stylish, etc. I had two and after hearing and then witnessing an accident where these type seats were used I found out they are not very safe.(actually saw a site on youtube and on various sites where children were actually killed due to the seats, look up reasons to use 5 point harness on youtube, tons of sad stories(like bellesgift or importance of 5 point harness carseat) Also Kyle David Miller Foundation, on internet(they will help get a 5pt harness seat to those who can't afford it) Sure they meet standards but if you do a little research on the importance of keeping you child in a high back booster preferbly with the 5pt harness you will see what I mean. Just type in dangers of backless booster or reasons to keep your child in 5 point harness as long as possible. They are making 5 point harness boosters up to 80lbs now, a bit pricy but there are many that go to 65lbs w/5 point harness and then convert seatbelt positioner until 100 also giving the option of making it a backless when and if the child reaches the height or age where they dont want more than the booster part. Graco Nautalis is a great choice."
"I like this booster seat. It is a little higher than others and has a cup holder built in."

Even the 3-stage child seats that go from 5 lbs to 80lbs recommend that you take out the bottom leg harness when the child is in the booster phase, leaving them with just the 2 point harness, which isn't any different than the auto safety belt. If they weren't safe they wouldn't sell them and you'll always find one horror story for every product. This booster is lightweight, inexpensive, higher up than some of the other ones and is easy to move around from car to car. While I wouldn't put my 30 lb. 2 year old in it, it's perfect for older toddlers like my 5 year old."
