"I picked up this saw recently at a Sears outlet store for about half price. So far it seems like a good deal. It feels lighter and cuts smoother than a pro grade Makita. It also seems to produce less of a jolt on start up, even though I don't see a "soft start" in the feature list. It seems to have plenty of power. Another reviewer complained about the noise. "I purchased this saw and returned it the following day. I was impressed by the large range of angles the saw could be set to, it was extremely lite as well. However, as soon as I plugged it in and pulled the trigger i was extremely disapointed. The saw was obnoxiously loud and smelled like burning metal.
