"small correction.. as you see from the picture of the narwhal, it is a type of whale, not a bird.
great place mat, introduces adults and kids to animal names. all the better if they don't know them, they can learn new words.

Fun to teach
"It is nice to have a placemat that will allow for some learning time too. What attracted me to purchase two of these was that they are made of a safe plastic. I like that they are colorful, and the price can't be beat. "

Eating does not appeal to my daughter so this placemat allows us to have fun learning the alphabet and get her to eat at the same time (ok, it distracts her but whatever works).
