Dell UltraSharp U2410 24-inch Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor Review
"Product Uses:real time share trading, adobe creative suite
Review:Pros
This was the first time that I have bought a premium quality monitor so I was unsure whether it was worth the extra cost but after setting it up in dual monitor mode with a cheaper TN monitor I can see why it is worth the extra $$. The picture quality is much more sharper and brighter than on a TN panel. The construction of the monitor and stand are excellent which makes it look very professional. There are also so many audio/visual and USB connections available to satisfy all levels of computer users.
Cons
May require some minor adjustments to contrast and brightness from default factory settings. The monitor also seems to emit a lot of energy; the back can become rather hot. No doubt future monitors will be more environmentally conscious but from apart from that there is very little to fault apart from the hefty price tag.
Bottom Line
Once you purchase a premium IPS monitor you will wonder how you survived so many years using the cheaper TN monitors. Well worth the money for anyone who spends considerable time in front of the computer."

Dell UltraSharp U2410 24-inch Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor Review
"Product Uses:graphics, programming, Gaming, office-email-web surfing
Review:Pros:
Excellent color accuracy, fully support driver and ICC in both Mac and Windows, wide gamut range, great view angle, 3-year zero dead pixel warranty, intuitive touch control, useful USB hub, ergonomic design (easy to adjust height, tilt or swivel). Same or better performance compared to Apple Cinema Display 24" LED LCD which cost around SGD $1400, and best matte finish- no more annoying glossy screen, also much cheaper than HP 2475W any other hi-end 24" monitor
Cons:
missing CF support (which is widely used in pro-photography), inset panel (which mean the panel is quite thick, ~1cm), a bit thick
Bottom line:
A great monitor for professional graphics user /designer/ even gamers (I played COD4/Crysis/Warcraft with U2410 and find no difference compared to my previous 2ms Samsung 226BW). Still have room for improvement (CF support, inset panel, thickness), but in short : highly recommended monitor"

Dell UltraSharp U2410 24-inch Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor Review
"Product Uses:photo editing, website development, office appications, games
Review:Once properly set up, the monitor is quite stunning in colour rendition. It's well worth the money compared to a normal TN screen. I do photo editing and was leary of moving from my colour accurate CRT display and going LCD. But the U2410 has put those fears to rest - it is an excellent monitor. As delivered, the monitor was in Standard mode at 50% brightness (way to contrasty & bright). But once switched to sRGB mode with 30% brightness it showed true colour/brightness rendition in my workspace.
My rating should probably be 4.5 stars - 5 stars for the quality of the visual display, but the loss of half a star for the Cons listed below.
Pros: Nice adjustable display. Good port selection (Video, USB, cards).
Cons: Poor documentation. The documentation is an HTML file the Drivers & Documentation CD. It just covers the bare bones of the various settings. I found much better info on the web in a user review where he detailed all the features. Dell should supply this depth of info about their products.
Menu selection is finicky - the touch sensitive blue buttons are hit and miss for me (maybe my fingers are too cold :-)
No CF card slot (2 of my SLRs use CF cards)
U2410 ICC profile supplied with the monitor is faulty on some computers. When installed, it imparts a yellowish cast with any program that makes use of the profile. Adobe Photoshop reports the profile as "defective". This problem was first noted in the forums two months ago and Dell has yet to supply a fix. I have this issue using the U2410 on a Dell Studio XPS 9000, 64 bit, Win 7 Home Premium with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 graphics card. The solution at the moment is not to use the U2410 ICC profile."

Dell UltraSharp U2410 24-inch Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor Review
"Product Uses:Connecting with Friends, Finances, internet, creating greeting cards, games, photo editing
Review:Pros
I've purchased Dell products for many years and even though I am not a professional computer guru this monitor is absolutely the best ever. I almost bought it's predecessor but glad I waited for the U2410. Very classy design, not flashy and very stable, glorious colors, viewing angles are perfect, so many useful inputs including one for the optional soundbar eliminating yet another dangling power cord. Text is glorious and the 16:10 ratio permits extra room without scrolling for web pages and email. I'm no graphics professional but I love this monitor for all my uses.
Cons
I've read that the screen setback causes unwanted reflections on the bezel but I haven't noticed that at all. Can't think of anything else I don't like!
Review
Even though the U2410 is a bit pricey it is well worth every penny."

Dell UltraSharp U2410 24-inch Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor Review
"Review:After reading a number of professional and informal reviews, I was at least slightly concerned about possible sleep problems with Mac OS X or green/pink tint problems, especially since I was buying three to use side-by-side where color inconsistencies would be extremely apparent. Nonetheless, I chose the U2410 over a comparable HP LP2475w with the understanding that these quality problems are probably much more rare than their reports might suggest dissatisfied customers tend to air their complaints more often than satisfied customers lavish their praise.
As monitors generally have the least consistent quality of any computer component and cause much dissatisfaction when faulty, good warranties and return policies are vital. This was truly the factor that swayed me to choose the U2410 over the HP LP2475W Dell's policies are widely reputed to be much more accommodating than HP's.
I am happy to report that all three monitors are all quite consistent in color without any trace of the aforementioned green/pink problem. Viewing angles are very good with no color shift and only modest luminance taper at about 45 degrees off-center. The matte finish of the screen is as good as I have ever seen on an LCD and, of course, far superior to the dreadful glossy screens that Apple likes to employ.
I, unlike some reviewers, prefer the capacitive touch sense controls as used on the U2410. Other than the power button, there are no mechanical buttons to stick, fail, or collect detritus in their sockets. While the beeping noise, derided by many others, does not sound objectionable to my old ears, it was easily disabled.
The monitor base is solidly constructed and offers vertical adjustment down to 1-1/2 inch from the desk and rotation, should one have need for a portrait display.
With (2) DVI, (1) VGA, (1) HDMI, (1) DisplayPort, composite, and component connections, there are enough ports that I am confident these LCDs will readily accommodate my future Mac and PC upgrades without hassle. In fact, the currently idle DisplayPort was an important one for me as I have no doubt my next Mac will be equipped with those exclusively.
In all, I am very satisfied with these monitors. They are probably not perfect enough to give the five-star rating I have contributed, but at 4-1/2, I had to round up."
