"I bought this item based on the reviews. I have been using the Zeno for over a year with great results. However, since this device claims to be able to prevent pimples I was sold. When it arrived I had been fighting a monster under the skin zit from erupting with the Zeno. I began to use the Derma Style hoping it would finish off killing the zit. It did noticeably reduce the swelling but it did not kill the zit. This device is too time consuming. You dedicate a long time in order to prevent any eruptions. If you skip a day you have to start from scratch. I get better results using Bezaclin in the morning, Differin at night and 25 mg of Spirolactone. Spiro is used for hormonal breakouts. I feel that the Zeno is far more effective to treat pimples and I also use it as prevention when I feel something coming on. With the Derma Style you would have to do your whole face every day and it will not prevent every outbreak. I just ordered the Thermaclear it is supposed to be better than the Zeno."

"I've been using this for about 5 weeks. I also use a glycolic face wash and 2.5% BP with the Lumiport. I have oily, acne-prone skin that I've suffered with for almost 20 years. I've tried several RX treatments, numerous OTC washes, peels, scrubs with short-lived, undesirable or harsh results. I'm very pleased with the results of this product because it's surprisingly powerful, and delivers results. I started seeing results after about 1 week. I use it at night and try to do three 10-minute sessions. The 1st 10 minutes is devoted to trouble spots and the last 20 minutes all over the face. New blemishes are minimal and my skin looks so healthy that I'm comfortable enough to leave my house without foundation for the 1st time in years. "I am in the mid-twenties now. I usually breakout once a month and those pimples are large, painful and take a long time to heal. I have had the Lumiport pen for a month now. I use it for about an hour in the morning and again, at night on my cheeks, forehead and chin. After a month, I can honestly say that I feel like it has improved the quality of my skin. In the areas that are clear now, I still use the blue light for prevention. CONS: It didn't do much for the pimples that I had before I got the pen. It takes time and patience. It's expensive. I think a one-month trial is too short. PROS: It reduces the time for large pimples to heal, but only if you treat the pimple when you notice a bump. It zaps the smaller pimples in 2-3 days. Overall, it made my complexion better and I feel like my skin is less clogged and oily after I come home at night. The pen was worth it because I don't like to put much on my skin, including make-up."

"This product might work for other people, but it did nothing for me. I only get acne occasionally, but when I do I get one big pimple. I tried using this product right in the beginning stages, as directed, when I started to feel a little soreness under the skin. I still broke out, and healing took just as long as normal. I'm returning it."

"I was a little leery to buy this given the high price tag, but I am very glad that I did. It really does work. I have always had trouble with adult acne, and have found that using a tanning bed periodically helps clear up my facem so I thought that maybe using light to kill bacteria and control pimples might actually work. I have been using the light pen for about 2 weeks now and I'm very pleased with the results. Whenever I see/feel a new pimple coming on, I use the light pen, and the next day it's gone. I also use it proactively for a couple minutes a night on trouble areas, and it has prevented break-outs. The high price is worth the fact that I don't have to deal with the embarassment of adult acne."

"For me, it took longer to see some results. I did not see much of a difference in 24 hours as some have. After about a week of using it twice a day I have noticed my problem areas are clearing up. It's a little time consuming. The directions say to hold over a blemish 2-3 minutes or an area the size of a palm for about 10. Doing your whole face therefore takes a little time. I have a routine where I just go to bed, sit it bed, watch a little TV while I'm using it then I'm done so it's not too bad. Overall, this seems to be working slowly. I think people are just different and some will respond faster than others. It does have a 30 day guarantee so that is good."

It is especially handy for the monster underground pimple that normally takes weeks to go away - now it is gone in a day or so.
