"my Dirt Devil upright vacuum is one of the best purchases i have made at Home Depot over the years. This vacuum is so lightweight you can lift it with one hand the extra wand gives you more length to get those hard to reach places like behind the dresser and the added attachments like the (crevice tool piece) help to clean the base boards and corners, the other attachment is the small brush to clean furniture or even bed mattresses the hose alone is great to clean under beds or under mattresses for platform beds. my hardwood floors are dust and allergen free thanks to the Dirt Devil vacuum and my bathroom and kitchen tile floors are clean of hair and dust particles. i also use it on my air conditioners filters to pick up the dust and just all over my apartment. the 12 amps is good enough and strong it even grabs clothes i have to pull it away if you don't want to use the floor vacuum you can use the hose and crevice attachment alone it will get the job done just like a cleaning service, because that is what they use also a vacuum. my home cleaning has been much more easier since i purchased the Dirt Devil, I did not know how much time i have wasted of tired and endless cleaning and dusting with sponges and dust cloths on my knees to clean my floors. Not anymore now i turn on my vacuum and do each room individually so fast and easy right before having company over and after they leave. also my ceiling fan is now dust free i get on my ladder hold the vacuum up with one hand and use the hose or crevice tool it is that easy omg you do not know how happy i am with this product. I have seasonal allergies and just to know that my rooms are dust free helps me to mentally and physically relax. another plus is the fact that there are no bags to change, just empty the cup in the garbage can. I am now happy to clean my home because it is much easier when i see the dust going into the vacuum it's a calming feeling because i see that it is working, so I reccomend this product to everyone the Dirt Devil really picks up the dirt and dust."

"The vacuum do make huge noise. But I'm not the type of person who would complain the big noise of vacuum or bad smell of pine sol. So that's ok with me as long as it's powerful. The power cable is just long enough. Not too convenient when change to gadgets. Overall good value."

"This guy is LOUD - but so powerful! I couldn't believe the amount of dirt and cat hair it sucked out of my apparently clean area rug the first time I used it.



One drawback - I have lots of tile, and sometimes the vacuum spits heavier debris out the back onto your feet.



The no-bag feature is great also. And you can't beat the price."

"Since I was 18 everytime I got a new vacuum cleaner it has been a gift. I am buying my own this time. I have had this model 4 times now over the years and everytime seems worse than the last. It generally lasts a year or less until i need a new one. I only use it 1 or 2 times a week, I don't have any animals, Although I do have children. It breaks the belts constantly or burns them up. When the belts burn you can't replace them and have it work properly again. The last one i had tipped constantly, the piece that held the cord in place broke withing a month, the way you need to change it to use the hose is complicated and after usong it for 6 months it broke so I'd be vacuuming without noticing the cord had come loose (wondering why it's not picking anything up this time). My 13 yr old can't empty it because it is so hard to get the lid on and off, which it is difficult for me as well. It doesn't change carpet levels and doesn't vacuum tile or hard wood, it just blows the dirt and dust everywhere. It is very light and the cord is pretty long. But unless you're only planning to use it for a month or two don't buy it. BTW- I usually don't have any complaints or trouble working any of my other appliances. I just am so irritated that everyone of these i've had has turned out to be a lemon!"
