"This movie wastes so much time, I don't know why it was even made. In the final major competition all the girls take turns forfeiting- they refuse to perform so there is nothing to watch. "This movie wastes so much time, I don't know why it was even made. In the final major competition all the girls take turns forfeiting- they refuse to perform so there is nothing to watch. There is only one cool scene of gymnastics that has some Busby Berkley flavor. Other than that there is nothing- I thought this was a gymnastics movie. The characters are all very lame and boring. The lead girl is supposed to be rebellious even though she really isn't- she just makes those hand symbols like on the cover 800 million times which after a while is just really stupid and aggravating. The mean girl isn't that mean, and the Asian-American girl will make a gesture and then look at everyone else to make sure she is doing it right. These girls are like kittens trying to be lionesses. They have no personality or strength. The ONLY good parts of this movie were the characters of Frank (Kellan Lutz) and Poot (John Patrick Amedori). These two guys are incredibly fun, funny, cute, and likable. They are barely in the movie, but they easily steal the entire show. The writer should have skipped all the boring female characters and written a movie where Frank and Poot are the leads. Frank and Poot are the only bright spots in this dull film. Kellan Lutz is also absolutely gorgeous by the way!"
""Stick It" is a great title for this movie. The storyline is kind of fictional. I mean, have you ever heard of a juvenile getting a choice between gymnastics or jail? Just like in almost every movie meant for teens today, there is your misunderstood main character, a sarcastic rival, and the cute boy who always gets the girl. In this case though, the boy is not that cute. If you have seen a "Bring It On" cheerleading movie, it is basicly the same thing, except with gymnastics (Referred to in the movie as "Gym-nice-tics."). This gym is out in the middle of nowhere and has a horrible reputation. The owner/trainer at first is just in it for the money. But in the end, he turns out to be an old softy. The girls enrolled in this gym are hard-core gymnasts, in it for the long haul. The whole movie is a competition between the main character and her rival. But, it turns out that they all care for each other more than they make it out to look like. I would recommend this movie to anyone who is interested in the "girly" type sports. In my opinion, it does not quite do the sport justice, but it definitly gives a good insight into female competition sports."
"When they say from the writers of Bring it on that's what they mean.It has the same potential as Bring it on but instead of Cheerleading it's Gymnastics. And if you seen Bring it on it has the same to be funny as well as competitive. But if you want to see girls getting fliped and hit their heads on the crossbar then by all means go for it."
"This movie was a really fun look behind the scenes in the world of competative gymnastics. Through Hailey, the audience gets to see the hard work and pain the gymnasts go through to be successful. The tricks the athletes perform are amazing! Also, Hailey's own story keeps you interested and emotionally involved.Above all, this movie is fun, funny and has a great soundtrack."
"I'm generally not the "girly girl" type but this movie was awesome. I loved the fact that "whether it's the actors or not" people actually can do that type of stuff. I honestly wish I would have joined gymnastics. Plus it's cool that it shows that it doesn't matter what you dress like, everyone has different intrests."
"I am a formar gymnast and the stuff in the movie about working hard and long days is all true in real life. I don't like the fact that at the end the gymnasts scratched the events. It's really unlikely. Also if a judges can't hold grudes. All in all, it was ok."
"This is actually a really great movie. It seems like it would be kind of stupid, but trust me it's not. It has a really good message and it is pretty funny. Haley is an awesome character. I would definately recommend seeing it!!!"
"if you like the change from a gangster to a not understood teenager then this is the perfect movie for you. It will keep you wondering."
"Haley is a total rebel and I love her character!!! the gymnastics are really cool and i think that it's cool how the show is part comedy part drama. if you want some real entertainment-stick it is for u!!!"
