"The lead glides on the page unlike other pencils. The strokes are smooth and the eraser acutally erases without other marks. You can give me 100 other pencils and I will be happy with one of the Dixon Ticonderoga's. Besides, one the great battles of the American Revolution was fought at Ticonderoga!
