Working well for me
"I have had this product for over a year and have found it to be very adequate for personal use. It is far more durable than the older Rotex product that I have, and produces more consistent letters. I like the size of the letters as opposed to the other product. I agree that the letters are a little far apart. I recently dropped the device onto a concrete floor from 4 feet. It was undamaged...." Don't try to build a better mousetrap...
"The letters are w a y t o o w i d e l y s p a c e d; in addition, they randomly move up and down on the tape, so things don't line up horizontally. I bought one in the early 1990s which was much, much better. They shouldn't have tried to "build a better mousetrap" -- it was a simple, well-designed device; there was no need whatsoever to re-design it. But sadly, the ones available now are much more difficult to load, they have too much spacing between the letters, and the spacing and letter height is very inconsistent.
