Also unique for the price is its recording versatility, via a waterproof slot for one digital media memory card (not included) to record/playback GPS details, and to run higher-detail chart options for nav display. The unit features an all-new built-in background map with enhanced continental U.S. and Hawaii detail including nav aids and wrecks/obstructions. For higher-detail mapping, the IntelliMap 480 runs optional MapCreate and Navionics Classic, Gold and HotMaps electronic charts on plug-and-play memory cards.
