Cons:
"this is a great pack, it's been with me all over europe, south america and africa and now is headed with me to South East Asia. The size and durability are really impressive, not to mention the comfort. It's decently padded and distributes the weight well, so you don't really feel bogged down. Little secret, if the daypack is too small for you, you can strap in any north face school-bag and it'll clip right in (I use the yavapai) giving you an additional 15litres of space plus a good sized daypack. Really recommend it."
Pros:
"This pack traveled with me around India and Nepal for 5 months. Indian railways, buses, planes, strapped to the top of a Toyota Qualis in the dusty deserts of Rajasthan, it went everywhere never gave me any problems. I love the smaller pack that detaches from the back, I call it "the dinghy" which was great when I wanted to take just a guidebook and a camera to something cool and leave the big back at the hotel."
Pros:
"I love this bag. So far it has gone to New Zealand and been pecked at by kiwi's.Survived Australia where it took a fall from the top of a cliff and was no worse for ware! The little back pack that is attatched works great for anything, even as a motorcycle backpack."
Pros:
"I was expecting a backpack that had 5000 cubic inches of capacity. Instead the backpack has less than 3000. It comes with a thin duffel that is supposed to be used as a cover when traveling on airplanes - its attached to the base of the backpack. The backpack plus the duffel may have had a capacity of 5000, but that was not what was advertised."

"I have had an older version of this since the mid 90s and have traveled with it all over Africa and Europe. This is an amazingly durable bag and continues to serve me well more than 10 years after I got it despite the heavy amount of travel that I do. This is the best investment in travel equipment that I have ever made.
The only issue I have had is that the zipper connecting the day pack to the main bag broke about 5 years into my ownership of the bag and the zipper track for the back strap cover broke as well (luckily it only warped close to the end of the track so I can still cover the straps when checking the bag in.)"
