good camera for the price
"i bought the F45fd to replace my aging canon S410. there was a rebate and a free printer, which made this a great bargain. overall, i'm happy with the camera. it's light years beyond the S410, and good enough for casual use. pros: the face detection works nicely. AF is faster than my S410 (not as fast as a DSLR). colors and sharpness are good. high ISO is much cleaner than the S410, but again not as good as a..." Read Full Review »

Fuji misses the mark on this one
"Here's the issue. The Fuji F30/31 were awesome cameras for low light, high ISO performance. Fuji tried to continue that into the F40/F45 (both are identical cameras, the latter being exclusive through Ritz). The images, even at the lower ISO's have a texturing due to the heavy noise reduction being applied. Kind of a "painting" effect, and hazy edges.
