Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts on a budget, eTrex H comes with a high-sensitivity GPS receiver that locks onto satellite signals quickly and maintains accuracy ? even in the toughest conditions. And just like the popular eTrex, this little yellow wonder combines an intuitive interface and a rugged exterior into a lightweight handheld that fits in the palm of your hand.

Enjoy Clear Reception
With its high-sensitivity, WAAS-enabled GPS receiver, eTrex H locates your position quickly and precisely and maintains its GPS location even in heavy cover and deep canyons. The advantage is clear ? whether you?re in deep woods or just near tall buildings and trees, you can count on eTrex H to help you find your way when you need it the most.

Built for Adventure
You can operate your eTrex H with just one hand using five buttons, which are located on either side of eTrex H within easy reach of your fingers. Thanks to its bright yellow case, eTrex H is easy to find in your boat or backpack. And, eTrex H is IPX7 waterproof, so it can take an accidental splash or dunk in the water and still continue to perform.

Find It and Go
With eTrex H, your adventure can last and last ? up to 17 hours on just 2 AA batteries. While you roam, you can store up to 500 waypoints in memory for easy retrieval. Just enter the point you want to go to, and eTrex H points you to your destination (no street or terrain maps). To get home, use Garmin's exclusive TrackBack? feature to reverse your track log and help you navigate back to your starting point.

All the GPS you need

"I use this little guy for recreational hiking and mountaineering as well as on a search and rescue team. A lot of GPS units these days come with so many bells and whistles you'd expect them to do all the traveling for you; they're for people who don't know how to use a GPS. Along with a good map, compass, and some decent navigational skills, this unit is an excellent tool. The 'H' in the name tells you that i..." Read Full Review »

not for use in dark timber or heavy wood

"I bought this GPS for a Elk bowhunt in Colorado. This unit may have some use for other, but if fail badly in hunting woods-weak/lost signals. Or it ask if I was indoors when it could not track satellite. For a beginner it may work for them in open areas, but not in deer hunting woods. You need to have clear view of sky to maintain clear signal stength. But for the $$$ and those who do not want to spend much ...t..." Read Full Review »

"My previous eTrex was beat up by eight years of hard use, so I replaced it with an eTrex H (which I admittedly haven't owned for long). The new one has retained all that I liked about its predecessor: small size, ruggedness, fast & simple user interface. The new "high sensitivity" receiver is a majo …"  Read Full Review »

"This is an excellent product at a great price! The same can be said about Delorme map software and the SPOT satellite locator beacon. I bought all three at REI for less than the cost of one more expensive GPS unit.

"My Geko 201's case disintegrated so I got the eTrex H. This new GPS is similar to the 201 in size and features but far more sensative. It also has much longer battery life. It is new to the market and as of 9/07, is not compatible with my old geocashing software or with the Garmin software update to …"  Read Full Review »

"We used this GPS on a 4 day backpacking trip. It works well when it gets a good signal, and is fun to use while hiking. Downsides: it does not include any mapping software (the good thing about that is that it makes it a less expensive unit) and that it does not hold signal too well when satellite …"  Read Full Review »
