Doesn't work

"I tried using the controller on 3 different pcs. I simply followed the instructions and plugged in the receiver and then turned on the controller. The receiver doesn't' recognize the controller, so it blinks forever. Under 2 vista pcs it installs some driver automatically and it recognizes it as a controller but it isn't connected.
