Giro G9 Ski Snowboard Helmet The 2008 Giro G9 ski and snowboard helmet is an updated version of the Nine.9 Giros best selling snow helmet. The G9 features updated clean lines a hint of attitude and the Giro In Form fit system. The In Form fit system makes this lightweight low profile helmet even more comfortable. The In Form fit system lets you dial in the fit for optimal comfort and performance. To keep you comfortable Giro has included 15 Super Cool vents that pull cool fresh air into the helmet while radiating heat and stale air out. WeatherStrip vent plugs help you regulate your core temperature. Just snap a set in to the helmet for a tight seal against the chill or remove them to let excess head radiate out. Giros most versatile helmets the G9 has an In mold shell and an EPS liner. A wide angle cut creates a gapless fit with goggles and doesnt compromise peripheral vision. The In mold construction fuses a tough polycarbonate outer shell with the helmets impact absorbing foam liner for extra durability without excess weight. The fusion of the shell and the liner also allows Giro to sculpt a better ventilation system so In mold helmets can be lighter and cooler. Giros In Form adjustable fit system includes a flexible head pad at the base of the helmet. It conforms to your head shape as adjustments are being made to provide a plush custom fit. An ergo friendly dial at the base of the helmet provides up to 6cm of fit feel adjustment for enhanced comfort and stability. Height adjustment is achieved through pins located at the top of the In Form unit. This compensates for different head shapes. The G9 is offered in an In Form XL size in limited colors which measures 62.5 65 cm. The G9 is audio compatible and has removable ear pads. Good solid helmet

Lightweight but Bulky

"Ive been using the G9 for a couple of years - the design hasnt changed. Its a completely adequate helmet solution. Some pros: fairly lightweight - you wont really notice it up there. Also keeps you nice & toasty on colder days. Vents work too, so you dont overheat.Cons: its a bit bulky, so it gives you that bobblehead look. Its also omnipresent on the slopes, so if you are looking to stand out from the herd, this..." Read Full Review »

"Works great for it's design. If you're planning on frequently adjusting ventalation, buy something with mechanical vents. This helmet does have adequate ventalation with the plugs removed however. Looks and feels great bombing down the hills. May need to buy lower profile goggles to fit the helmet. "

Protect your melon with style!

"This helmet is a great all around helmet. It fits well, is warm, especially with the ear flaps, and fits goggles well with no gaper gap. The vents work well when not plugged. My head is never warm on super cold days. Simple and effective, just what I need in a helmet. Gives you piece of mind also. "

"I chose this helmet for two reasons -- one, it has an interior fit adjustment, and two, it was the cheapest model I could find with an interior fit adjustment. The reason that the fit is so important is because I started snowboarding this year, and I found that it was way too easy to fall on my butt …"  Read Full Review »

"The Giro G9 is a great helmet, no doubt about it. It allows for plenty of adjustment to find just the right fit.
