"My head measures 22-1/4" which is right in the middle of the range for Medium, but I couldn't get the Medium helmet on my head and had to exchange it for a Large. It was tighter front-back than side-side, so maybe the people who are finding this helmet true to size have rounder heads. Great helmet... that doesn't fit

"I've worn Giro for over 17 yrs and my last one, a 2004 Giro Havoc, was a medium. It did not fit the same. The plastic side pieces of Roc Loc system seem much straighter and does not arch upwards to clear teh ears. It rode about 1/8" too low and rubbed my ears. "I had a crash during a century and the helmet stayed put and protected my head so that I could finish the next 50 miles. The helmet sustained scratches and a small crack in the lining and I intend to replace with another Pneumo. I rode away with scrapes and bruises and a sore, but intact head. "
