"This is my first and last tripod! Was in the market for a compact & lightweight tripod to go anywhere with me. This Gitzo fit the bill perfectly! Carbon fiber is super lightweight but sturdy as can be, and folds up to an very manageable size to strap on the side of a pack. "Used this on photo trip to Yellowstone in winter. Great for weight, but at same time a draw back as a little unstable for Telephoto in low light conditions. The weight however is great for traveling these days and weight restrictions...." Read Full Review »

"Very light tripod, folds up to a short,compact length and is great for travel. Best paired with a lighter ballhead so it doesn't feel too top-heavy when carrying around on a sling. (I use an Arca-Swiss type Kangrinpoche ballhead weighing around 300+grams.)
