He already had one...but it didn't have a rechargeable battery...so he had to watch it in the car or stay attached to a wall outlet. We bought this one for the rechargeable battery. "After one week end, less than 5 hours of use, there is no sound. The AV cable is only available through the gpx company, it can't even be ordered online, and no other cable will work. Don't waste your money on this. "
