Physics department RAVES about this coffeemaker!
"We have a kitchen in my college's physics department, which is NICE since as students (and sometimes teachers) tend to eat sleep and breathe school! And of course that leads to our need for COFFEE!!! A fellow student brought this product in as a community coffee pot, and throughout this school year it has been used and abused and still works great (NO LEAKS)! Wish it had a thermal carafe!!
"I bought this coffee pot after reading several good reviews on it and am sorry that I spent the money. However, I feel that it is my mistake, not Hamilton Beaches. For years I have had a coffee pot that brews the coffee into a thermal carafe so it stays hot and doesn't continue to cook on a heating element. "I bought my first HB brewstation about 5-6 years ago. It was great, as long as you did a few things.
1. periodically run vinegar through it. It gets gummed up and needs a clean. - also keep the metal plate clean in the bottom of the tank.
