"I saw a commercial for this on TV and thought, there's no way that works. But, I decided to give it a shot, just in case, especially since it's such a neat idea. I purchased it a little while ago and installed it in seconds. It works from the front room in my house all the way to the back door. The only switch for our kitchen lights is across from the back door, so we were always walking across the room in the d..." Read Full Review

"Like several other commenters, it stopped working after a few days. Couldn't be a battery problem; there aren't any. So I checked the Internet for a fix-it hint, and found that it has been recalled because of safety concerns! [...]..." Read Full Review
"I bought this product for convenience and was very pleased with it until it just stopped working one day for no reason that i can find. I am very disappointed as I was very excited to have found this product and sucuessfully use it for several weeks without incident. It was easy to install and seemed to be exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this product."

"Mine stopped working one day too! But if you will check, the switch part of it is powered by battery. Batteries do not last indefinately. Put a new one in and try it again. Or just send me the one that you are unhappy with. I want more and can't get one now!"
"I found a 2 for one offer to get this switch which I desperately needed. I plugged the first one in, flipped the switch 3 times and it quit working. Second one, same thing. Subsequently I used an old remote switch with push buttons and it worked fine. I just like the compactness of the receiver and the wall switch better. Emailed the company, no reply. Big surprise. In the warranty it also states that they want another $5.99 for shipping even if the product is faulty."

"I'm curious - why do you need wireless hand switches in the first place?"
"I bought 4 handy switches. Loved them and learned to depend on them. After 6 months I had one fail. Then a few weeks later, 2 more failed."

I purchased it a little while ago and installed it in seconds. It works from the front room in my house all the way to the back door. The only switch for our kitchen lights is across from the back door, so we were always walking across the room in the dark to switch on the light. With this switch, we can flip lights on in other areas of the house to help light the way and not have to walk in to a dark house just to find a switch. I plan to get additional units to use elsewhere in my house. Great idea!"
Pros:
"In general the idea is nice. BUT... be aware... it only supports 1 lamp. When I plug two... it died on me. So for whoever want to use it to power multiple lamps - don't buy it, or buy two.."

Cons:
"I am using this to control the lights on my christmas tree since the outlet I had to use was in such an odd place. Inside of a built-in cabinet!! The range is actually much farther than stated as I have used it from across the road at nearly 100 ft.
I have ordered 2 others for side lamps in the kids rooms so have yet to find out if there are any problems using multiple units inside of the home. Overall, very nifty product, better than clapping your hands when the baby is asleep!"
Pros:
"The wiring in an old house only has one switch to the ceiling. We wanted separate switches to control a ceiling fan and light - this was our solution. Took a little extra work to add a "plug" behind the housing, but lots easier and cheaper than running new wiring."

Cons:
"I am working on my third and last unit. I have it hooked up to 2 120 watt plant grow lights. The unit works fine except when one of the bulbs burns out. When that happens it takes the remote unit with it."
"I sit in my recliner and read as it gets dark in the evening I need to turn on the light. The light is a tiffany that hangs over my chair. The on/off switch is on the light. Now with the Handy Switch I dont have to. I have the switch in my remote caddy and when I need the light on or off I use the switch! GREAT INVENTION!!!"

Cons:
"This is one of the truly usable "gimmicks" as some would call them, that I have come across yet. When I get comfy in my rocker & it starts to get dark, I dont have to stand up and turn the light on over my head, I just flip the switch. Amazing, what will they think of next? This really is a GREAT product and and cheap [$]"

"[...] We have a TV in our bedroom that is the source of constant arguments about who should get up & turn it off before bed. The remote sensor does not work anymore so you have to get out of bed & turn it off. I actually jumped up & down when I opened this up & it plugged it in. Flipped the switch & the TV turned on then off again. The bad news is that I turned the switch off & left the room. When it was bed time I got all cozy & flipped the switch....Nothing. I got up to look the night light attached to the plug was not on. The thing is dead after 1 use? The batteries were new when I opened it & the night light is no longer working which tells me this isn't a battery problem. It's ashame its so cheaply made. I'm gonna exchange it & give it one more try but I'm not very confident."
