"Blows all of the other light weights away. Powerful suction, quieter than most, easy empty dirt container. The power head is easy to maneuver around and under furniture. Had a Dirt Devil "Electric broom" and gave up because it would not pick up cat litter. This one is the one I use every where for quick vacuuming or pick-up, between deep cleaning with my cannister."

"I finally found a small vacuum that does a great job on both bare floors and thrown rugs. With my other vacuum, I had to go over the throw rug many times to get the dog hair up, but with the Hoover Flair, it takes no time at all and does a fantastic job! My rugs finally look great after I vacuum them! The dirt cup needs emptying a lot, but that's OK because I used to have to buy bags for my other stick vacuum, and had to buy them online because nobody carried them in the stores. The other thing I really like about the Flair is that for a vacuum, it's relatively quiet.



There are only a few things that I wish this vacuum had or would change:



1. It needs to have a longer cord. I can't finish vacuuming the living room without moving the cord. With my other vacuum, I could do the living room and kitchen.



2. I wish it had a little lip or handle to grab onto when you vacuum the stairs. My other vacuum had a place to put your fingers to make it easier to handle.



3. The other thing that I would change is where the cord wraps around. It wraps around just fine, that's no problem, but there is a little plastic overhang where the cord begins and it seems like a very tight fit. Hoover should have move one or the other over a bit. You'd have to see it to know what I'm talking about.



4. I also would suggest that Hoover redesign the handle to be a little more ergonomic. It's OK, but it could be a better.



Even with these things that I would like to see changed, I am very satisfied with this vacuum. If Hoover made these changes, then I think then it would be the perfect vacuum, so Hoover get to work!"

"For the price, this little vacuum is wonderful! I have mostly hardwood floors, with some small area rugs, and it's ideal! I also have two cats that shed CONSTANTLY. This vacuum has amazing suction for the size. One of the other reviewers stated that it didn't do well with hair after six months. I've only had mine for about three weeks, and so far so good. If it dies after six months, I'd just buy another one. I'd feel that I'd gotten my money's worth. After all, it's [inexpensive]!"

"Though there are many pros to this vacuum cleaner the main con outweighs them - this hoover broke in the first month I had it because it was unstable and kept falling over. I only use it once a week in my apartment that has hardwood floors throughout.



The clip on the dustbin broke from the various times it fell over. I can not get a replacement part because hoover registered repair centers say they don't order these replacement parts any more because hoover usually doesn't send them out and is unreliable.



I can't get a repair on the guarantee because I can't prove it was the fault of the product however it is the design of the product that is at fault.



Though this hoover is lightweight, handy, and has good suction I think it best to go for a hoover that doesn't break in the first month of normal use."

"I have tried "rechargeable" brooms before and they have never had enough suction and did not hold the charge. I like the power, long cord, and easy of pulling this out of it's corner of the closet for quick clean ups."

"I've had this stick vacuum for only four days and have used every day. I love it! It gets under furniture and has powerful suction (picks up pet hair like a breeze!). I really like the switch on it to go from hardwood to carpet as I have new laminate flooring, area rugs, vinyl and wall-to-wall carpeting. It works great on all flooring types and it picks up everything along the baseboards sucking up what my regular upright vacuum cannot.



The cord however is too short and comes unplugged when I go to far with it. Cleaning out the cup and filter is a little messy and I always seem to drop dirt from it on my clean floor, but other than that, I'm very happy with this product."

"I bought several vacuums at the same time, this is the only one I kept. It truly does work very well. Well crafted,quality feel and good looks all contribute to this five star machine. "After using this stick vacuum I found it to be very powerful and works great on low pile carpeted rugs and hardwood floors. Slightly noisy but thats because it's quite powerful. Works really well and very efficiently. The unit looks good and is well made. Buy a 15' xtn cord and you'll have 35' total length. I recommend after emptying dust/dirt ..take about 10 mins to thoroughly wash and clean after each use. Won't take the place of a full size vac.. but it does a really good job in a hurry."
