"This is a very good vacuum cleaner. Only had it a month, but am impressed. The vacuum is strong and the brush really picks up "stuff". I needed a good vacuum for dog hair and this is working well even though it didn't get the top "hair removal" rating from ****************. "Beware of this machine!! It literally falls to pieces in your hands. The belt comes off continuously. The on/off switch fails and you can't turn the dang thing off!!! It is a piece of garbage!!! Don't buy it!!!........" Read Full Review
"I bought a Hoover Elite prior to this and it started getting very loud. Exchanged the Hoover Elite for the self propelled Hoover WindTunnel Anniversary Ed.
Summary:
Weight: Heavy, however, self propel feature makes it very easy to use. I actually hardly ever use this feature because I can push it just fine without using it.
Sound: It is a little louder then I would like, but that doesn't bother me.
Cleaning Power: Most important on the list...does a great job cleaning and picking up my two cats' shedded fur.
Accesories: I love them especially the powered roller brush as it picks up the shedded cat fur from the couch.
Improvements: I wish the vacuum piping was a little bit longer, but willing to compromise.
Other: Replacing the bag is a breeze and it is far better then having to deal with the mess of a bagless cleaner whether it is a Dyson or a Hoover Elite."
"I just bought this vacuum about a month ago. I have had bagless vacuums in the past and they do not even compare to this one. Bagged vacuums are much better for your health, clean better, and last longer. Bagless vacuums are just a slick promotional ploy..."oh look...you can see the dirt"...the fancy $500 ones (Dyson) really do not perform best overall or last nearly as long. This vacuum has a great feature. It is a light that goes from red to green when your carpet is clean (free from dust, dirt, etc.). It is very easy to use as its self propelling and is great for people with allergies. This vacuum lifts the carpet and makes it feel so nice. I am extremely happy with this purchase and highly recommend it to others."
"The anniversary edition is a really good vacuum with a lot of features. I have owned this vacuum for about 3 months now. I researched quite a few and even purchased a bagless Eureka and ended up returning it. This hoover cleans very well even along the wall edge. The self propelled feature is wonderful and makes vacuuming much easier, my husband loves to vacuum with it. I turn off the self propel when vacuuming bare floors because it really takes off. The hepa filter bags are great and helps with my allergies. I would have rated it 5 stars if the hose was longer. It would be nice to have an auto rewind for the cord. You will not go wrong if you purchase this vacuum, I found it on sale at Sears for $197."
"We have owned the vaccum for about a month and it works great. The self propelled feature is wonderful on carpets and it's easy to manuver. The suction is fantastic on both carpets and hard floors. The tools are convenient on the back of the machine and the cord length is great for our house. Thanks Hoover for a great product."
"The Hoover Anniversary Wind Tunnel self-propelled bagged upright met almost every one of my needs. After 10+years of a great bagless Bissell, cleaning the filters so often just got to be too much after we got a cat. The bagged vacuum is great for pet hair and dander. The self-propel feature lets me vacuum faster and makes it seem lighter than it is - probably a plus for older folks. A well-placed handle in middle of the back makes it easy to carry up & down stairs. Nice indicators for missed dirt and you can see how close the bag is to full. Wide track in front which is nice, but doesn't fit under some furniture. The only thing giving it less than an A+ for me is that it doesn't seem to have as much suction as others, although the carpet is indeed clean, including the corners and near the walls, so I trust it. Great buy."

Cons:
"This is an excellent vacuum. All the advertised functions work very well. The window showing the brush as well as the dirt finder are great additions. The hose for attachment is short, common for most vacuums but I do not use the attachments often. The weight is also comparable; those with stairs might consider purchasing a hand-held vacuum as rarely can you purchase a light vacuum with decent cleaning power. The vacuum was easy to assemble and I highly recommend reading the user's manual before using. My only major con is the location of the on/off switch could be better placed but should not be a deterrent to purchasing this model."
Pros:
Cons:
"The only down side that I have found so far is the noise. Other than that this is by far the best vacuum I have used. It has exceeded all expectations. And to top it all off the pet hair tool works great, especially on furniture."
Pros:
Cons:
"I have 3 cats and one dog which makes my need for a good vacuum cleaner of primary importance. I love my new Hoover Wind Tunnel Anniversary Edition Self-propelled vacuum cleaner because it does what the Hoover people claim. My carpets have never been so clean! Believe me, I have used many different vacuum cleaners which do not measure up to this one. My one issue is that it is a little on the noisy side. The self-propelled benefit makes it so easy to use that the noise problem takes a back seat. You can't go wrong if you purchase this vacuum cleaner."

Cons:
"[...] For the money, this is one of the best Vacs we've ever own, and we've had many over the last 40 yrs. My wife loves the power hand tool for getting up the dog hair, the power drive takes the work out of carpet cleaning."

"This is a very good vacuum cleaner. Only had it a month, but am impressed. The vacuum is strong and the brush really picks up "stuff". I needed a good vacuum for dog hair and this is working well even though it didn't get the top "hair removal" rating from ****************. Specifically chose a bag model after other reviewers said how messy bagless vacs were to empty and clean, even though I now have to buy fairly expensive bags. Don't yet know how long each bag will last which might make the cost less of a problem if they last several months.
A couple of small "cons". This machine is heavy, but the self propelled mechanism makes using it almost weightless. The vacuum operated stairs spinning brush tool is not very useful - it bogs down and stops spinning easily. A couple of the attachments fall off the back of the machine while vacuuming, but it's no big deal.
This was the top rated upright in last month's **************** and I really like this machine. Glad I bought it.Note: This reviewer may have received a benefit, like a sweepstakes entry or rewards program points, in exchange for writing this review.
