Worth every penny
"I was certain that I would go for a B&W Polarizer but, Hoya can really make high quality stuff. It's so thin, but that creates a problem removing it from the lens. I had a really hard time getting it off my Nikon 70-200/2.8 VR lens which has a kind of rubber surface around the thread. So now i have some grease on the threads before mounting the filter. Works well, except for one issue
"The contrast and colors are great on this filter, and it seems sturdy and well-built. Only one problem - mine came with some sort of chip, or fleck on the surface of the glass. Maybe it was a section where the coating didn't get applied, maybe it was a nick that took it out at the factory, I don't know. But I am going to try the Nikon brand filter next because my NC filter from Nikon is by far better built th..." Read Full Review »

"This filter does what it's supposed to do. Build quality is great. I have not have had one problem with Hoya's Digital Pro 1 filters at all. The coatings are very durable.
BTW, if you don't know, the coatings are the same ones on the Pentax and Tokina lenses.
