"Every manufacturer is trying to clear out their color lasers. Got it a third less than regular price. Great laser MFP, replace an older 6100 officejet that doesn't scan to PC in Vista. It's huge compared to Inkjet printers. So far so good, networked to 3 PC's and now everybody is trying to play with it. Very good color, connected to a dedicated faxline and answers with no problem. Excellent specs given by other..." Read Full Review »

"I need to find a printer that likes to print, this one does not. I have had it for a week and it is horrible. For example, I need to print 75 sheets. It kicks in and goes to work quickly, however, this comes to a hault because it needs to stop and do some "cleaning" or "calibrating". It randomly does these, sometimes after 10 pages sometimes after 20 or 25 pages. But to get 75 pages out it MUST have a few BREAKS..." Read Full Review »

"I print 50-100 pages a day for my work. I finally decided to get a color laser printer and this All-in-one CM1312nfi MFP really caught my eye. The price was finally affordable for me. I have had this printer for a month now, I have not experienced any issues with toner leaking, I have received excellent comments on my presentations and am very satisfied with the copy function and ease of two-sided printing, albeit with manual intervention. I also love the fact that this is network ready, I can connect it with any ethernet cable to my wireless router and print from all of my PCs & laptops, wired or wireless (just set up the printers IP Address on the highest end of your DHCP Range).
I only have two negative comments: First is the system fax mode; I have found that if the system is in a sleep state and someone sends a fax, it does not respond right away. At first, I thought the issue was related to configuring the system in its Fax/Tel mode, in which the fax line is shared with a telephone. I even thought I might have had the phone lines reversed, but that was not the case either. Continued testing found that even if it is set up as a stand-alone fax machine, the fax does not answer on the first, and sometimes not even the second or third attempts of someone transmitting a fax, if it has been ‘sleep mode’. If you do not know when you could receive a fax, and that is a considerable part of your business, I would go with a dedicated fax machine and a different color printer/scanner rather than this All-in-one. Otherwise, I would suggest that if you know someone is going to send you a fax, set the system up for Manual mode so you can be there and make sure the system is not ‘sleeping.’
My only other negative comment is the additional ‘baggage’ that it installs on your computer (Mac-book, PC-laptop, desktop, all experience issues) and how much of it gets loaded on boot-up… If you think Windows is slow to boot up now… try adding these HP drivers and features… ugh (or is that slug)! Yes, you can fine tune it, but be advised, if you are looking to just Plug-n-Pray, expect longer startup times."

It randomly does these, sometimes after 10 pages sometimes after 20 or 25 pages. But to get 75 pages out it MUST have a few BREAKS. Come on I need to print! Then there is the dreaded "cooling down". After using it for 45 minutes it then starts with this 5 to 10 minute cool down every 5 to 10 pages. It will come out of cool down then go right into cleaning or claibrating. Again, hello, I need to print! All in all this is the printer for you should you NOT need to print, because printing it does NOT do well."

"I spent two years looking for a good Laser All In One and want to upgrade from a Xerox to a Color. This by far is the best printer for the money and the quality is impeccable. I have 6 laptops throughout the house linked into this one printer and the kids love it too."

"1. Unable to receive faxes, the fax picks up maybe half the time.
2. Unable to communicate with computer correctly.
3. HP Toolbox (printer utility software) crashes immediatly on boot up.
4. Software for HP Solution does not load from the disk properly, after installing, it asks for disk in location '1', and I have to browse to the proper folder and install that part of the software.
5. I alwasy get errors (on every PC when installing regarding flash player and something called hpqdummy)
6. Printer is slow
7. Printer is noisy
8. Printer constantly goes into "calibrate" mode which takes forever, and you can't do anythign while it does this.
I have had some crazy interaction with tech support as well. They all refuse to let you speak to a supervisor, I think one even lied about being a supervisor (I have a copy of the chat log), I've had them troubleshoot the wrong product, give me steps in the wrong order, and I even had one tech call my house after midnight, waking my elderly father. I am thouroughly disgusted with HP, and at this point just want to give up and return it all. For this level of printer it has way too many issues to be reasonable, stay away from HP! I have been a loyal Hp customer for many years, but they don't give hoot about customer service or quality anymore, that much is obvious. After buying many of their products, this will be my last."
