"I bought this printer because I wanted to make photo bookmarks that I could laminate and give out for Christmas. It was a delight to pop up the flat touch screen, turn on, and have an animated video show me how to set the printer up right there on the screen. There's a quick start guide to follow too and more detailed manual if you prefer. Compact, easy to use. Pictures are impressively BEAUTIFUL!Use an USB cord (not provided)with your computer and it automatically downloads the driver and program. Let me WARN you of this. . . make sure you purchase a 110 Vivera tri-color ink cartridge before you leave the store. The printer only comes with a "starter ink" cartridge which yields about 10 photos. That was disappointing and I couldn't understand why HP wouldn't give you regular cartridge. Regular cartridges go for about[$] and you get over 50 photos (which is good considering the small size of the cartridge).Clip art, editing features, and text are standard but good.Very good for the price. Excellent photos. Compact size. (Comes with handle on top- like a mini boombox). Enjoy."

"I ordered this printer on Thursday and it was delivered on Saturday. I got 10 prints and an alignment sheet out of the trial cartridge. These prints were from the same memory card I had recently printed at the store. Side by side, there was no immediate difference between the store prints and the HP prints.



I have pen pals all over the world as well as family in other states that I like to mail pictures to. Email may be faster, there's something nice about getting actual pictures that you can hold in your hands. Using this compact photo printer is much more convenient than waiting for them to be printed elsewhere.



I also like the fact that I can insert the memory card and crop, draw on, add text, and edit photos with the touch screen. Without a computer. Very handy! You can even use the "preferences" menu to set the machine to print the date the photo was taken right on the print.
