"I can have this out and over me and my pack in about 5 raindrops, flat. The thing that sets this apart from other ponchos is the elastic cord in the back hem. "I like ponchos. This is a good one. Light. Large. Easy to keep handy and use. Ventilation is good but it still collects plenty of condensation when hiking, so I still get wet from the "rain" inside the poncho. "I got this to use as super lightweight rain gear on all hiking trips and to use as a rain fly over my bivy sack on extended weekend trips. It works out well because it provides redundancy in my gear kit. I've seen a lot of people bring a rain jacket, rain pants, a bivy sack, then a tarp.
