"This range has exceeded my expectations. At another home, we owned a competitor's double range, and it had problems with the broil function. This Jenn-Air range has great performance. The 5 burners are great. The two front burners are higher powered, so it takes no time to boil. The top, smaller oven heats up quickly for baking and is great for toasting and broiling. "It was a great idea but so poorly executed that the people responsible should be fired. I WILL NEVER, EVER, BUY A JEN AIR PRODUCT AGAIN. "I read this review and several others before purchasing my Jenn-Air range. Most of the other reviewers would disagree with your assessment of this range. But I used the information you provided to look very closely at this product. The knobs on my range are die-cast metal. Don't know why yours are plastic. I've not had any of the problems you wrote about. I do agree, however, about the design of the cook top. Oh how I wish they had found somewhere else to place the control knobs. I've no problems with the performance. My only other comment - if I had $50,000 to spend on a kitchen remodel, there would have been money enough to purchase a true "top-of-the-line" range, like WOLF, or VIKING. Even the Kenmore Pro Series, or Electrolux Pro would have been better choices given the budget you had to work with."
The bottom oven has plenty of options, including convection bake. I love that the controls are on the top of the unit instead of the front (great for families with small children). It is very easy to use and clean. I've heard complaints about the black top showing stains, but to me, it's far better than a white or grey top. The only downside is that when the timer is finished, it only beeps once (not continuously), so you have to pay attention when you walk away while items are cooking. (there may be a way to change this, but I haven't read the entire manual yet)."
Pros:
Cons:
"The ovens are great. Bottom door opens too close to the floor. Great burners and oven space.
The black to is difficult to keep dust free and scratches with a ruff side of the sponge, watch out.
Love the look to upgrade a kitchen with out needing extra space form a traditional oven.
No more need for a toaster oven, and saves energy."

"Initially wanted to purchase a competitor's double oven gas range. However, I found a great price on this range and purchased it at a cost significantly less than the competitor's range. All I can say is WOW - I love this range. I have used both ovens as well as the convection feature for the lower oven. My kitchen is small, so having two ovens works well in my small space. I have been cooking with natural gas for many years and was surprised at finding a slide-in range with 5 gas burners - count them - 5 gas burners! This appliance is amazing. When I told my husband how much I loved this range, he said 'now you know how I feel about my skeet shotgun'. I would definitely recommend purchasing this range to anyone."

"I was ecstatic to find a range that had a duel-fuel and a double oven all within the space of standard range. This was everything I had hoped for. All of these qualities should have made for an outstanding experience but I was hopelessly disappointed. There where some annoying issues that were not resolved that forced me to be in doubt of the quality of my Jenn-Air product. When my range came from the warehouse the doors were misaligned, the screws were not fastened on all the exterior panels and the 220 bracket was not attached properly. I tried to get a new stove but both Home Depot and Maytag were unwilling to satisfy my wishes. I also found that my burner went out while I was cooking. Luckily you can smell the gas. I don't think I had the flame down to low for it to go out, but I can’t be sure. I sure hope that the manufacturer can improve the quality of this stove it sure has a lot to offer for such a small space."
"I love this range. I looked for a long time to find one the had everything I wanted and this one does. The smaller oven is great for quick meals and it heats up super fast. I didn't know how much I would use a convection oven but it is great. Wonderful for baking. Even frozen cookie dought tastes better!I also love being able to cook things at different temperatures at the same time. The top is easy to clean and the stainless looks great. I have had many friends look at it and want to get one. I ordered on-line and had no problem"
"This is a perfect answer for two ovens in a small space. The small oven heats very quickly and is perfect for a single item without wasting heat. The simmer burners allow me to make hollandaise without a double boiler while the high output is perfect for a big pasta pot to boil quickly. The readout is easy to operate and has quick features for dehydrating or bread rising. (I had to remember the codes on my old stove) I have been very pleased with this stove and would recommend it highly."
"We've had this unit about 6 months now and love it. It looks and functions great and we love what we call the "pizza oven" (top)! The only little complaint I have is that the black top shows dust and any little splatter, so you'll get used to wiping it down frequently. But, it IS easy to clean. Also, beyond the fact that it is dual fuel and requires both connections, make sure you go to the Jenn-Air website or store and get the manual beforehand so you know what the requirements are behind the unit for the installation. It is very specific given the minimal cut-out on the unit itself (due to the convection fan), requiring a flush-mount outlet and repositioning of the gas valve in my case. I did the work myself, but get a good installer and be prepared for this possibility if you want it as close to the wall as it was meant to be."
"I saw this range several years ago at [...]t but it wasn't in the budget. Jenn Aire is a trusted name in cooking appliances and I liked the features. I grew up with gas cooking and wanted the instant on/off heat that it provides. I love the 5 burner feature of this model and the double ovens with convection. The top oven is perfect for pizzas and cookies, as well as making dessert while the entree is cooking. The closed burners on the top make clean up a breeze - no more messy spills that are hard to get to under the electic elements of my old stove top. I hope to be able to have as many good things to say about this range in a couple of years after it is well broken in."

"We have the famiy gatherings durning the holidays and this is a wonderful range with the smaller oven and the standard size oven flexiablity. You can have the turkey going all day and still fix hot dips, cassrols, and rolls in the top oven.
It is just the two of us durning the rest of the year that we use the small oven 90% of the time, it uses less to heat up, and heats up in a couple of minutes.
The controls on the top keep the grandchildens hands away.
Down side is the cook top being black show dust."

"It was a great idea but so poorly executed that the people responsible should be fired. I WILL NEVER, EVER, BUY A JEN AIR PRODUCT AGAIN. We paid top dollar fot this top of the line piece of junk from a company that used to have a good reputation. They have lost my business forever. How much do I hate this stove? Let me count the ways:1. Poor quality components. The knobs are cheap plastic that are PAINTED to look like stainless steel. Within a year, ALL of the knobs were broken, and we were controlling the range top burners by the bare stalks sticking up from the stove. Replacing them is prohibitively expensive at $15.00 EACH! At the rate they break, you can expect to spend at least $75.00 per year just to keep the stove in knobs! I tried to find genuine stainless steel knobs that fit, but they don't make them for this stove.2. Poor design of oven doors. Forget cleaning the oven doors - they are designed so that anything spilled seeps in between two glass panels that cannot be cleaned unless the whole stove is taken apart. You must pay a technician to do this - ours charged us $150.00 just to clean the oven doors. I should have been able to simply wipe the front clean, but this isn't possible with this horrible stove. After living with the ugly mess for over a year, I broke down and had it done. How long can you go without spilling something in your kitchen? If you do it anywhere near this stove, it will seep down in between the panels and your kitchen will look like you are a trashy person who never cleans. And there is NOTHING you can do about it.3. Poor design of the stove top. There are 5 burners on this stovetop, but only 2 of them are really useable because they are so crammed together that there isn't room for each of them to have a pot. A lot of room is wasted on giving PLENTY of space to the knobs, that are mindlessly placed on the stove top, taking up an inordinate amount of room, when they should have been placed on the front of the range, leaving enough room for all burners to be functional. And the back burners are tucked under a strange overhang that prevents you from putting a pot on the back burners at all! What kind of college educated moron designed this???? YIKES! Did they not have any test kitchens?4. Unreliable and DANGEROUS technology. The gas burners are not reliable. I cannot count the number of times I put a pot on to boil, only to smell gas a few minutes later. I had to go out and buy a hot plate to make soups and other long cooking items to prevent gas from killing us all. And the ignition sparks are a joke! They will turn themselves on without warning at any time - day or night! They go berserk and then you cannot turn them off! The only way we can get this dangerous sparking to stop is to unplug the stove - and then the ovens won't work. This happened to us on Christmas eve, forcing us to cook Christmas dinner in the toaster oven. We have already had two oven heating elements burn out without warning, as well as the whole electronic control panel.5. Complicated and not user friendly. Nuff said. This experience has soured me on Jen Air. I thought this was a first rate company, and after spending $50,000 on a complete kitchen remodel, I wanted the best appliances. That is why I purchased top of the line from a reputable company. Very, very sorry I ever did business with people whose only claim to quality is their name."
