If your only restriction is space the Kadett is your only choice. Kettler's piece-by-piece German manufacturing standards combined with an outrigger design that works a more comprehensive set of upper-body muscles mean the Kadett provides the very best most complete workout available in a compact rowing machine. The Kadett's frame is far more stable and smooth than those of its less expensive competitors and its outrigger design almost exactly replicates the natural elliptical arc of the true rowing motion! Like all Kettler rowers the Kadett comes with included heart rate monitoring (ear clip) and a performance monitor that tracks a range of workout statistics including pulse.

We can't emphasize this enough so we'll say it again: the Kadett is the one and only piston machine that works as a full-size rower. If you're a taller user or you don't want to compromise your workout quality BUT you don't have the room for a big rower this is your machine.

No line-tugging, real rowing

"Normally I'm cynical about exercise equipment. But I was pleasantly suprised by this product. Everything was there, no damage, and went together in about 30 minutes using the tools included. If I'd used a ratchet it probably would have been more like 10 minutes. The instruction's diagrams were 90% idiot-proof, the remaining 10% would require a determined idiot. Great machine, but worth the hassle?

"After I got it together, the machine was more or less worth the hassle, but do not buy this machine if you aren't an experienced mechanic. The instructions are very poor, the tools are packaged in with the hardware, and they look so much like the hardware that I had the machine halfway put together before I realized they had supplied tools.
