"Great crib! We were looking for a convertible crib that was affordable and had a more modern look. This crib was very easy for my husband to put together, and the construction is very high quality. Love that the bolts are not exposed. Actually like this more than the fancy designer "mod" cribs...this one looks like it will be in style for longer...." Read Full Review

Pros:
"You may have already found the conversion kit, but below is a link to a company that sells it, and they state that the item is in stock. Hope this helps!

"I just bought the Baby Cache Contempo at The Baby's Room Norcross in Norcross, GA. I think it is the same line as the Tampa under a different name. You might want to give them a call. www.thebabysroomnorcross.com"

Pros:
"Excellent buying and move-in experience! If you're an online shopper who's hesitant to purchase without seeing the product firsthand(as I am) rest assured this product is fantastic. We purchased the crib and combo (no armoire) and are very happy with both. The crib assembly took about 1.5 hours and that was with one assembly error (my fault) which was easy to fix. The hardware is subtle, which is nice for aesthtetic purposes, but you may want to use a higher quality Allen wrench of your own. Once together, the unit is sturdy and very well done. The wood and finish quality is on par with [...] it's actually Nyato - an Indonesian parallel to mahogany (equally strong and beautiful). This crib does NOT have a sliding rail adjustment, but I think that's a plus. We looked at several other modern cribs at Babies R Us (well, what they did have that might qualify as modern or contemporary) and found them to be quite unsafe (DaVinci, for example) - the fact that this one is so much more sturdy weighed heavily in our decision. Also, if you're concerned about your home decor, this piece is a great fit as it does transition to fit a child's needs, without being cheesy. We looked at brands like Litto Kids, Oeuf, Design Republic, etc., and honestly, preferred this piece - at about $500 to $1000 less, so the value is definitely there. Even the finishes (stain, brushed metal accents, beveled edges) are all very well done - not something we saw on other cribs at BRU. I NEVER rate anything "5 Stars" - but I am willing to make an exception in the case of this ensemble. It's about time mass retailers like BRU started catering to the needs of people who care about function, form and quality."
Pros:
"My husband and I tested every crib within a 75-mile radius and spent numerous hours checking reviews and safety ratings online. We weren't impressed with the majority of what's out there, whether at BRU or some of the other specialty baby furniture retailers. On a recent trip to BRU, we found this crib - a TRUE espresso, not cherry colored - and we were sold. It's solidly built, and while it does NOT have a drop-side, we didn't want one for safety reasons so it was perfect for us.The crib is put together and the bedding is gorgeous inside... with tax the crib came to about [$], and I can't even tell you how many other mothers in the area have commented that it looks significantly more expensive than what we paid for it. At this point, we're not sure if we'll use it for another child or actually convert it into a toddler bed, but we did want the option and we're happy to have it. I can't actually give you any "cons" on this crib because it's exactly what we were looking for. (And - if you're extra picky on quality - this is made by Munire Furniture, which is one of the highest quality furniture retailers out there. Baby Bargains 7th Edition gives them an A rating.)We bought the Tampa combo/dresser as well; the pair makes for a truly gorgeous set!"
Pros:
"This crib has it all! Superior quality and construction as well as a sleek modern style. If you go to a Babies R Us store or anywhere else and look at reasonably priced cribs in this range, you will notice that almost ALL of them have ugly visible hardware glaring at you right on the front. This one does not. The hardware is nicely hidden near the bottom out of sight. We got the matching combo dresser and love it as well. [...] But it only took the men 30-40 minutes tops to do everything. So I imagine it was pretty simple to assemble. You will not be disappointed!"
Pros:
"Since my husband is a woodworker, he was very particular about the crib our baby would be in. This is one of the few cribs that was made up to his standards; no weak particle board, solid wood, sturdy, etc. We love the look of the crib. We also like the fact that the bed can be made into a toddler bed as well as making a headboard/footboard for when our baby is bigger. [...] It took about 35 minutes for my husband to assemble it.Our son really seems to like his crib; he has had no problems sleeping in it. The only downside is that the corner slats are really thick, so if you want to use a crib bumper you need to find one with longer strings."
Pros:
"This is such a wonderful set. It was really easy to set up [...] I looked all over for a more contemporary look for the nursery and everything was WAY too over priced, then we saw this set and bought it right away. Now we have a beautiful nursery just waiting for the baby to come. I highly suggest this product, espeically after working in the furniture industry for awhile...I know there is a lot of junk out there and this set is certainly NOT one of them!!! it is also nice that this can transition into the babies older years."
Pros:
"This crib looks great and makes us feel safe since it's solid wood and not pressboard like some other cribs we looked at. Great contemporary styling and very easy to put together. The box was HUGE due to all the packing they use to protect the piece but it was worth it... not a scratch on any of the pieces. Overall very happy. Only reason not to give it 5 stars now is that it hasn't gone through the baby test yet... to be continued..."

Cons:
"We got this crib when I was seven months pregnant. My husband assembled it and it was pretty easy. I am very particular about quality and this crib is very nice. I really like its sturdiness as well as its construction. Everyone who sees it comments on how nice it is. We have been using it for two months so far, and we love it! I have read comments about its finish scratching easily, but we have yet to experience any scratches...and we have a small dog who likes to lean up on it...his claws haven't done any damage at all!"
Pros:
"This is so gorgeous, I cannot even begin to describe it. I see green-eyed monsters whenever my friends come over and look at it. It is truly one of the most beautiful cribs I have seen out there for a fraction of the price. Make sure that you order the crib rails that convert this to a toddler bed sooner rather than later, in case this ever gets discontinued..."
