"It could not be put together by only one person.
Some of the wood was split and had to be glued back together.
I was most disappointed with the top of changer: It is not solid wood and it is very thin (about 1/4in thick). I'm nervous it won't support the weight of a child more than 20 lbs. I definitely will not let my daughter stand on it for any amount of time. In my opinion this should be a thicker, sturdier solid piece of wood like other changers in this price range. After all it is the part you lay your child on.
I can still use the changer for storage after my daughter doesn't need the changer part, but I won't be able to set anything heavy on top of it like a small tv or books."

"My mother in law and grand mother in law bought us the whole set (crib, changer, and dresser) for my shower. We love the set. it all goes great together. They were not too dificult to put together if you read the instructions. I read the instructions and handed out the hardware while my husband put this piece together himself. Being in the last 4 weeks of pregnancy i wasnt much help. I held a few pieces in place here and there. There was a slight misprint in the instructions. It was not my fault. I had my husband read it too. When attaching the seperation in the shelving area they wanted you to use the "N" screw i thing it was which was twice as thick as the piece of wood you were screwing it into. But we did as it said and needless to say it didnt work. So i advise all, screw on all 4 feet first and do not use the big long screw to screw in the seperation... but i love it, it seems sturdy and it holds all the things i need it to and more! Great piece for the price. It is a little brighter than the color in teh picture. I was prepared for it after reading everyones reviews. It seems that it will scratch easily but hey that happens... its going to be in a kids room."

"I hate to say it but this changing table is a piece of junk. The outside looks nice but the "shelves" are made of something similar to cardboard as is the rest of the inside of the changing table. I'm wondering if it will withstand the weight of a baby. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. In addition it took HOURS to assemble."
"did not like it at all cheap made. nothing was labled. made of thin wood on top where u put the baby. way to much $ for such a cheap made item wish i would have never picked that one. and it has a funny smell to it."
Pros:
Cons:
"It wasn't easy to assemble and the directions were poor. It is bigger than I expected, and very sturdy! The picture makes it look a lot lighter than it actually is. The whole Parker set actually is darker than the picture makes it appear to be. It still is natural, but it has more of a yellow tint to it. I like the Parker set, but it is such a hassle to contact Million Dollar Baby with a problem. The Million Dollar Baby doesn't have a phone number to reach them, and you have to fill out a request form for them to contact you back within 72hours. Consider yourself lucky if they contact you within 72hours. All in all it is a nice piece for the nursery, but it could have been better quality for the money."
Pros:
Cons:
"I selected this nursery set over several higher priced sets because I loved the lines of the crib and changer [I settled for the dresser because I wanted the matched set]. I agree with the other reviewer that the top of the changer is not all that I could hope for, it is very thin, and I too had concerns about it being potentially flimsy. Our baby has not arrived yet, so I tested it with weights. I was able to test the top up to 25 pounds without any wobble at all [I didn't have any weights higher than that]. While it seems as though the top might be flimsy, I have found that it is definitely sturdy to 25 pounds, and very likely higher than that, as there were no signs of stress after the weights."
Pros:
Cons:
"The directions were horrible. It is not sturdy. The top is made with 1/8 in. this particle board with a thin wood veneer over it! We are putting the crib together tonight and if it is as bad as this changer we are sending the whole set back!"
Cons:
"I bought this changer to go with my DaVinci Emily Crib in Honey Oak. They do not match AT ALL. I emailed the manufacturer to let them know I was disappointed about this, and here is what they said:"Thank you for choosing Million Dollar Baby furniture. We are very sorry but the retail store should have informed you the Parker Collection has its own finish and is not compatible with any other collection. We are very sorry but it’s not a manufacture defect."If you are buying this to go with anything but the DaVinci Parker collection, be aware it probably won't match (even if they are both the same color)."
Pros:
Cons:
"I use this every day and it holds all the diaper changing stuff I need within easy reach. I love the cherry color, the size and height are perfect and it was easy to assemble. My only complaint is that the side and door panels are not solid wood (the trim is solid), so there is a rattle sound when you pull on the magnet latch to open the door. I reduced the noise by repositioning the magent latches so a smaller part of the magnet contacts the metal and there is less pulling force. I knew the unit was not solid wood, so I still think it is a good value for the price."
