"This Elmo is awesome! It is truely lifelike and my grandson just loves it. He's even entertaining to the older children. He says several different phrases, has alot of humor and is quite interactive. The best part is that he even shuts himself off after a period of inactivity to save on the batteries.Note: This reviewer may have received a benefit, like a sweepstakes entry or rewards program points, in exchange..." "We bought this for our little girl for Christmas and like many other people have said, he worked for a few weeks and then his neck started to make clicking noises and would get stuck in one position. We returned him and got a new one and within three days of having him now his left arm stays in the stuck air while the other one keeps flapping or goes back by his side. This one also always falls when he sits to tell a story, it doesn't matter how many ways you move his chair to catch him and he also mixes up when he falls and is helped back up. Instead of him saying thank you when you pick him back up he continually says that he's fallen down and needs help up. After I return him this time I don't plan on getting another one...it's a shame because my daughter loves to watch and listen to him but I don't think that they will allow me to continually exchange him! Hopefully Fisher-Price will fix his flaws and then we'll definitely purchase him again!"

"My 11 month old son loves his Elmo live. He received it as a gift for Christmas & he & his friends have enjoyed it since. I disagree with other users about the batteries, we have yet to change them. We do turn him off after he's done playing, so maybe that's why. I also think he says several things & I felt like for the first 2 weeks, we were still hearing new things from him! He is not soft, so I do agree that if you're looking for a cuddly toy - this is not it. But that's to be expected from any kind of mechanical toy, I would think. Overall, he also holds my sons attention & usually for about 20 minutes solid, which is good in my book. (:"

"Hailey loves her tikle me Elmo. She has played with almost everyday day since she got it last year. So this year I just had to give her Elmo Live. He is so cute, he sings, tells stories & moves. Hailey was happy to see him when she opened the gift."
Pros:
"We bought this Elmo for our one year old Granddaughter and were very happy with it. She was fascinated and I know she will get alot of use and fun out of it."
Pros:
"I think that people are expecting the same let down as TMX Elmo, but this is so much better. Worth the money. You better buy one before they run out."

The user manual ain't got nothing on this review.
"My son got Elmo for his birthday in December and would play with it almost every day until about February. It was quite fascinating and we were happy with it, but wondered why one day he would start his usual routine then stop mid-sentence and reset himself. We changed the batteries but still nothing, so I called Fisher Price and they explained something that apparently 90% of the people who buy this toy miss. THERE ARE -6- BATTERIES instead of 3, most people only replace 3, which we did. The other 3 are on the reverse side of the tray holding the top 3 and when we replaced those as well he worked perfectly fine. If you are looking for a cuddly toy, this is not what you want. If you are looking for an interactive toy that the child watches and handles gently then you will love Elmo Live. We keep him up on the end table in our living room or a shelf in his play room when Elmo is not "performing" since he is not built to be played with. My son still loves him and fussed when I wouldn't give Elmo to him as I was changing the 2nd set of batteries, so child appeal is great. I would like a softer, more plush Elmo that my kid can drag around if he likes and I know it can be done with a lining separating the robotics from stuffing, but my son is happy and Elmo works after having been dragged down from the table and manipulated by our littler 14 month old, so at least mine has stood the test of actual play."

"elmo says alot of differnet things!!!! he gets annoying after a while!!! he keeps loosing his balance and falls over... the little chair that comes with it doesnt really work... hes just squatting... never really touches the seat!! u hav to find his lil buttons.... one on his foot, back, stomach, nose and head.... overall pretty good toy... idk how long it will last with him continuously falling over!!"
"Bought this for our 13 month old who loves Elmo. Had to play with it ourselves to make sure that it was worth the price... and we loved it. He is super cute and has so many phrases that it should keep her going for quite some time. I wish that they would make them more soft for hugging... he looks cuddly but really its a computer with some fur. That is the only draw back I see... besides the price and people buying them and selling them is sick and wrong."
