"After reading some reviews, I bought this bike for my son as his 2nd birthday present, about 1 month ago and he hasn't let it go!!!!
This bike is awesome it's a little more expensive than the wooden and plastic alternatives but for the finish and quality it's worth it.
I would definetly recommend it!"
Pros:
"We bought this for my son's third birthday because he was outgrowing his trike. It seemed intuitively like a great way to learn to balance and it is. He started out just walking with it, not putting much weight on the seat. We got the seat adjusted just right (which is super easy) and within 15 minutes he was sitting and pushing off with his feet. It was fun to watch him learn the ins and outs of steering, etc. The brake and kickstand seem like a nice addition but I'm ambivalent since the brake is just a distraction right now and his heel keeps hitting the kick stand. I think he'll appreciate them more once he's gliding with his feet up. My only worry is the tires, only time will tell if they'll last until his little brother gets the bike."
Pros:
"Bought for my son on 3rd birthday. Since it was December, we started in the basement. He was hesitant at first as he wasn't used to balancing but got the hang of it. We put it away until April when the weather got better and in about 2 weeks he was a pro. He rode it every day of the summer. Excellent way to teach balance and will make transition to a real bike much easier. Forget training wheels and go for a balance bike"
"My son loves it and his sisters do too! He will learn how to ride a bike fast!"

"I just bought 3 Mini-Gliders for my triplet boys a few weeks ago, and so far, they are a great hit. My boys will be 4 in a month, and are short for their age.
The assembly was very easy (and I'm not great at assembling things, lol). All of the materials on the bike seem to be of great quality. I had some reservations about getting a bike with foam tires, but so far, they provide as smooth of a ride as rubber tires. The only thing about this bike that I'm not crazy about is the wheel frame is made of plastic. I didn't realize that before ordering. If not for the plastic wheel frame, I'd have given this bike 5 stars. Hopefully they will hold up.
I love all of the adjustable components on this bike. The height of the handlebars can be raised and lowered, as can the seat height. Also, the brake handle can be adjusted closer to the bike handle so that little hands can squeeze the brake easily.
I ultimately chose the Mini-Glider over other balance bikes because of the brakes on the handle and the foot pegs. I was a little concerned that the foot pegs may get in the way when they were using their feet to get the bike going, but that hasn't been a problem at all. The foot pegs are just wide enough to put their feet on, but don't stick out and hit their legs. I like the idea of foot pegs b/c it puts their feet exactly where they will be when pedaling on a traditional bike. Other bikes I looked at either didn't have foot pegs at all, or had them placed oddly under/behind the seat. Also love that this has a kick stand, so that my kids can stand their bike up instead of hurling it on to the concrete or grass.
I barely had to explain to my boys how to ride the bikes before they started pushing around with their feet. Within fifteen minutes, one of my boys had already figured out how to put his feet on the pegs, and was gliding down the driveway. It took my other two a little bit longer, but within 45 minutes, all 3 of them were picking their feet up and balancing. INCREDIBLE! The bike is very lightweight, which seems to help my kids maneuver it easily. Added bonus, I think it helps reduce injuries when they fall over (which is rare) to not have a heavier bike land on them. We've only had these for a few weeks, and my boys go tearing down the driveway, taking sharp daredevil turns, and cutting donuts, all with their feet up. I'm very impressed at how the design of this bike has made riding and balancing such an easy, painless, and FUN process.
Overall, I'm very pleased with these, and would recommend them to anyone with a novice bike rider. I'm VERY glad I chose these instead of a traditional bike with training wheels."
