"We used this product with our first child. It was recommended by a friend and it really did seem to make the install secure. We were happy with it. However we had it checked by an installation check point and discovered that it actually puts so much stress on the webbing of the belt, that if we were in an accident it could cause the seat belt to fail. My suggestion is to take your seat to a professional install tech and have them do a good installation wit no after market products."

"I had this a month and I loved it. my daughters britax regant car seat was not budging an inch. When I went to the car safty seat inspection, they said it is not good to have on the seat belt because it streatches it out and you may not be able to use it later. I had mine on a month and I could see what the lady was talking about. The lady told me I only would need this if I was unable to get my car seat in tight enough to were it was moving a lot side to side. I would use this in my SIL car b/c she does not have the anchors in her car and the car seat was moving all over the place no matter how tight I got the seatbelt. I did love this until I found out it was ruining my seat belt. I could get her car seat in there nice and snug with out mighty tight, and I am very picky about how my girls car seat go in. If i cant get a tight fit using the anchors, then I use the seatbelt which gives me a tighter fit so the car seats do not budge."

I stumbled upon an advertisement for Mighty-Tite on a different website, but we purchased two (one for each car) from our local Babies R Us. My husband was of course skeptical and didn't like the idea of wasting money (he hates spending money) on a gimmick but reasoned we could always return them.

"I fought with my daughter's car seats for 2 years. Both the rear facing and forward facing. I always had to climb in the car and put all of my weight into the base to get it "semi" secure. It would take me a couple or trys before I even got it right. And it would always seem to loosen after time. For the forward facing car seats, my daughter always seemed to lean to one side, unless she was placed in the middle.

The very first time that I used this product, the car seat stayed in place and would not budge!! I always thought that my car seat was installed tightly until I used the mighty tite. This is a MUST have. I now give this as gifts for new parents.



I recommend getting the seat savers because this product may cause the car seat to leave marks or damage the vehicle seat."

"PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go buy one!!!! I bought the tightener yesterday and am THRILLED!!!!!!!!! I recently bought a convertible carseat for my 5 month old, and like in his infant seat he was tipping all over. I really am so thankful that they have these and wish I would of bought it sooner. His seat does not budge! If we would roll our car the carseat alone would not of held him, the seatbelt loosens to much. I think they should be included with the carseat in hopes that more parents use them. The only downside I can think of is that it's a little hard to loosen or take off, but if you really want protection then that's not that big of deal. Again please go buy one and protect your children it is worth every penny!"

"the mighty-tite makes for easy installation of all our car seats. no trying to kneel in the carseat to get the belt tight. i was tired of the weekly retightening the "latch" system required and wanted something better. the mighty-tite is the solution, the government should ban the latch system and require the use of belt tightening devices like the mighty-tite. our car was a total loss after another driver came across the yellow line... the mighty-tite held our son's carseat in its place, keeping him safe. people who see our mighty-tites ask what they are. i take it off the belt and hand it to them, they sometimes drop it because they don't expect it to be so heavy, they can't believe how little the carseats move with the mighty-tite installed or how easy the mighty-tie makes installion."

"I love this product. Not only do I work in an ER where I see kids in from car accidents with injuries because the carseat was not tight enough, but had my own experience. When my daughter was 1 month old I totalled my car and her carseat came a little off kilter because the seatbelt wasn't tight enough.
