"I purchased this product for my two granddaughters. The oldest one (2-1/2) loves it because she can turn on the light by herself and not have to wait for Daddy to do it. The youngest one (2) needs to grow about another inch before she can reach it, but I know that she will love it as well. It makes them feel very independent. One of the best investments that I made...." Read Full Review

"Everytime DD pulls on this, I am afraid that she is going to snap it and break it. So far it has held up for 2 weeks. The place that we needed it most was the bedroom. My husband had to heat the plastic and make it so that it would work with the chair railing molding that is on the wall. It would have been nice to have a product that was not so rigid as to stick out into the room then. I don't like the moon..." Read Full Review

"Do you get tired of turning on the light for your kid who can go to the bathroom by themself? Than this is what you need. I was so sick of turning the light on for a child who could otherwise handle bathroom duty alone. We had a similar string-type thing on her bedroom switch, and it was great. Our bathroom light is a dual switch, though, and the other type wouldn't work on a dual switch. Since this fits over the finger-switch and isn't a new cover, it works on either single or dual switches. [...]"

"My 1 1/2 year old loves this. We are setting up her big girl room and I wanted her to be able to turn the light on by herself. This is great!"
Pros:
"We bought two of these. We put one in our 2.5yr old's room and one in the bathroom. This has allowed my son to turn on his light for playing in his room and to use the potty more independently because he can turn the light on & off. This allows me to keep working on a project and to teach my son about turning off the lights when he leaves a room. I like how easy it was to install and how easy it is to use. I like that I can still use the regular lightswitch, as an adult, yet my toddler can still turn the lights on & off. It has given him a great sense of independence. I only wish the plastic was a little more durable, but it is still a decently strong material. It was worth the money for the time it has saved me as a stay-at-home mother of 2 children under 3 and one on the way!!"
Pros:
"This product has been a lifesaver. We have had these for several years with no problems. I have them in all my boys' bedrooms, all bathrooms (except the master), and in the boys' playroom. This has probably saved me literally miles of walking up & down stairs and hours spent turning lights on and off for my boys! It has given them independence, including an unexpected bonus of independence for potty-training toddlers. It's glow in the dark design, though not super bright, allows it to be found in the dark. I was afraid when I first installed them they might break too easily with 3 rough & tumble little boys pulling on them all the time but so far they've been endured a fair amount of abuse with no problems"
Pros:
"We love the Kid Switch! My 3.5 year old son kept dragging his step stool around to turn on lights in his room and the bathroom. I was so ready for him to fall! Plus, it just isn't very convenient - he wasn't very good about turning off the lights. He loves the moon shape and is so excited that the switch makes him a little more independent. We're teaching him how important it is to save electricity, and one way to do that is by turning off lights - something he can now do easily! The switches are well constructed and easily mounted - it took me all of about 90 seconds to install each one. We will buy more for his closet and his brother's room (when his brother is old enough to need one)."
Pros:
"I bought two of these, one for our kids bathroom, and one for my daughters room. The bedroom installation went smoothly. The bathroom wasn't as easy. The screws given to us were far too small so I ended up using the screws that the face plate had originally been installed with. They were hard to move at first but I loosened the screws a bit and they are much easier to use now. I don't have to worry about her climbing on things to turn on the light. I also don't have to worry about her stumbling into the bathroom in the middle of the night because she turns the light on herself. She also loves that they glow in the dark! :) I plan on getting another after our son is born/grown enough that he could use one. :)"
Pros:
"I bought two of these for my bathrooms because my almost-4-year-old is small for her age and unable to reach our light switches. We have been trying to teach some bathroom independence when she needs to go potty, but she could never turn on the light herself. This product has been great at allowing her to go potty all by herself which has been a great relief for everyone! It does glow in the dark, but the light is not on long enough in the bathroom to charge it up for very long, so it's kind of a pointless feature in my opinion. I guess if it was being used in a room with a lot of time with light, it would be more useful. My husband installed them within 10 minutes, and the moon shape is fun for the kids. I am very glad I found this product on here as I have not seen anything else like it on the market."
Pros:
"My daughter is about to turn 3 & she loves them (I bought 2). I got 1 for her bedroom light & 1 for her bathroom light. It has made things a lot easier on me. I don't have to stop what I'm doing everytime she needs the light turned on, or have to yell at her to quit climbing on things. I'm thinking of ordering a few more. I thought she might play w/ the lights, but after the 1st night, she just uses them when she needs. They make her feel more independent to be able to do it herself. The only flaw, is that you don't know which is the front & back. It does make a difference, but if it feels a little tight or doesn't seem to fit just right...just flip it over."

Cons:
"This is a great product! I bought one for the restroom and one for the bedroom and they have been very useful. My 3 yr old daughter was using a back scratcher stick to turn on and off the light in the restroom and bedroom but she would lose the back scratcher too often. When I saw the kid switch on OSA, I immediately bought 2 to start off with. They actually have made it easier for her to remember to turn the lights back off now that she can reach with the kid switch and it's helped save money on the energy bill. I like that it glows in the dark so she can easily spot it when she has to potty at night. And the material is pretty durable. Im glad I found this product. Soon my 22 month old will be able to use the kid switch during potty trainng."
