Microwave likes to take a "timeout"
"I bought this combo oven because of all the good reviews from last year. I love the convection oven part, but please be aware that the 2008 model has a new "feature" in the microwave part according to Kitchenaid. The microwave will go into a mandatory "cool down" period of 5 minutes after you microwave for any more than three minutes as soon as you open the oven door. Worthless
"We had this oven installed on December 1st 2008. It lasted 4 weeks before the magnatron and inverter went. We called kitchenaid to get the appliance fixed, who sent a repair technician who diagnosed the problem but couldn't fix it.
