"I bought this Waffle maker as a birthday gift to myself. It is always nice to treat yourself once in a while. When my family arrived for my birthday, I gave them the surprise of homemade waffles. "When the non stick surface on my Waring Pro WMK300 started coming off after 3 years of use, I bought the KitchenAid unit based on the reviews. Compared to the Waring, the waffles depth (gap between the 2 grids) is bigger, which results in heavier waffles.
