"We use this every other day. We just put the dishes in and follow the instructions. No problems and you can use supermarket brand powder with a rinse aid. This fit our budget since we were upgrading but did not want to spend more than $900 and it has a lot of good features. We considered European brands but found an American brand that we are happy with."

"I have been a KitchenAid dishwasher fan for years, but this dishwasher has soured me. While it is extremely attractive and quiet, there is so much insulation in the back of the unit that the installer couldn't get the face of the unit to be flush with my cabinets, so it protrudes out. It also does not clean well, even with the recommended detergent and the ProScrub cycle on. I pretty much wash everything before I load it. My biggest complaint by far is the low-end plastic racks and silverware basket. I've had the dishwasher serviced twice in the first year because the top rack broke (the silverware basket broke too). The latches that keep the top rack in place routinely open up, and the top rack falls out of place. This is particularly problematic when it's loaded with glassware. I am giving serious thought to replacing this dishwasher, and it's not even a year old. I am so disappointed."

"We bought this dishwasher with high hopes...the Kitchen Aid name and reputation...However after 12 months we had to repair the rack from breaking and then the Computer Panel just died 3 weeks later. It costs over $400 to fix a broken computer panel....

I will never by a Kitchen Aid product again..."

"We have had this dishwasher for a little over 3 months. It is much quieter than we expected. The ONLY sounds are when the cycles change, you might hear a soft 'swooshing' sound. You need to put your ear right next to it to tell if it is running. Ultra Quiet and yet it still does an excellent job getting the dishes clean. The cycle is fairly long, maybe a couple or 3 hours until done. We usually use the ProWash cycle without the heated ProDry (air dry only). We have soft water and still use the rinse aid (on lowest setting), glasses and crystal comes out spot free. We are in the habit of rinsing off the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher, especially when they sit for a couple days while we get enough to run a full load. Several times after a large meal with guests, we have loaded all the dishes without pre-rinsing and they still come out clean. We have been using a liquid gel detergent and it works great."

"This is a terrific dishwasher. After a lot of research we selected this because of the features and other recommendations. One of the big reasons was the large handle to use to open the dishwasher. My wife has arthritis and this made opening the dishwasher easy for her. The dishwasher is extremely quiet and many times we do not know it is running. It cleans great and loads beautifully."

"We had previous Kitchen Aids and they were quite and cleaned well. Saw some reviews that complained about how noisy it is on start up and didn't clean well. I should have listened to the reviews.



Had it for a week, top rack left many glasses and small plates dirty.



Bottom rack doesn't clean pots very well. Very loud when you start it and it fills. Called Kitchen Aid and they said that was normal.



Also, didn't dry very well.

"Bought this product and used it for 3 months and noticed my kitchen wood floor buckling. The hose clamp came off of the pump underneath. Service tech came out 3 or 4 times trying to repair it. Now the mother board is fried and no hose clamps are available. I am stuck with a bad dishwasher and a ruined wood floor to my kitchen. IT HAS BEEN 2 MONTHS NOW ! It is HH GREGG and Whirlpool policy to keep trying to repair it and not replace it. You will be treated the same way."
