"I started out using the Medela milk storage bags and thought they were just fine. They were a little rigid and didn't seem to stack well in the freezer, but I didn't pay it any mind. I bought some Lansinoh nursing pads that came with a few samples of their milk storage bags and decided to try them and was so pleased with how much better they worked for me. "Bags vs. Bottles: -According to the book "Baby 411": Many of those great antibodies in Mom's milk stick to the bags and don't get to baby's mouth. Most lactation professionals prefer the soft polypropylene bottles (frosted or colored plastic) for breast milk storage because the antibodies in the breast milk won't stick to these bottles as much. -In my experience, you can't stack more than 6 bags or so on top of ..." "I started out using the Medela milk storage bags and thought they were just fine. They were a little rigid and didn't seem to stack well in the freezer, but I didn't pay it any mind.
I bought some Lansinoh nursing pads that came with a few samples of their milk storage bags and decided to try them and was so pleased with how much better they worked for me. Since the bags are softer and more pliable, it made for easier stacking. I lay them on their side and squeeze the air out so that they are flat like a waterbed mattress and freeze them that way. Once they're frozen, I can stack them upright and they fit right up against each other very well. I went back and tried it with the Medela bags, since they are, in fact, a little heavier bag, but they wouldn't flatten very well which still left me with the stacking problem.
The only time I've had leaks in my Lansinoh bags is when I've put the bag on the stove in a pot of water to thaw and let the bag sit in the pot and touch the sides too long~ it springs a leak that way. Now I know to hold the bag and swirl it around the same way as when I mix the milk in the bottles. Otherwise, I love these things and highly recommend them to save space. They also hold a little bit more milk than the Medela bags."

"I have only used the lansinoh storage bags to store my breastmilk and I have to say I am very pleased. I havent tried medela even though I use the medela pump in style breast pump. I lay these bags flat in the freezer and can stack them. I havent had any issues with leakage nor tearing of the bags and the milk thaws out pretty quick under warm water. I highly recommend these storage bags to all nursing mothers."

Lansinoh Breast Milk Storage Bags - 50 Count Review
"I have used many different bags...Gerber..Lansinoh...Medilla (sp)..etc. I didn't really have a preference at first. But now I really love the Lansinoh bags for the quality and the price.
The gerber ones were okay for the price, but for not a ton more, I really feel more secure using the Lansinoh bags with their double seal and they feel thicker and better to me for storing my daughter's milk.
I work full time so I use about 8 or more bags a day while at work and again I just have loved these.
Now I was using the ones that were made for my pump which I know I'm butchering the name on up above and it was nice because they had the sticky tabs so you just pumped in the bag. But they cost a little more as well it was harder if you were trying to divide up your bags into certain portions.
I now just pump straight into the little bottles that came with my pump and then pour those in incriments into these bags. It works great.
I really would recommend these bags for moms who are pumping a lot while working full time."

"Since I'm back to work full-time, I've been using these bags daily to store my pumped breastmilk. I also had an issue with several of them leaking while they thaw overnight in the fridge. Upon inspection of the bags, there were little holes/tears on the side of the bags (I freeze them flat and then store them upright). I realized that the tearing was being caused by setting the bag directly on the metal freezer shelf and tiny parts of the bag would stick and tear as I removed. Now I lay them on a piece of aluminum foil to freeze and then store them in rubbermaid containers. I haven't had a problem with leaking/tearing since!!! Just don't let the bags come in direct contact w/the freezer or else the warmer bag will stick and tear."

"I've never had a leak in 5 months of using these bags to store and freeze milk. I can't imagine how rough these people are treating that precious milk to get these bags to leak, considering that you're not even supposed to shake breastmilk, just swirl it, or you can break up some of the elements in the milk.
Nice thick plastic that protects milk during storage and freezing. I love that the writing tab is seperate so I don't have to worry about ink leaking into the milk. Yes the plastic is hard to write on, but actually not as hard as other brands I've tried. I think it's a property of the strong freezer-safe plastic. Other brands that cost twice as much feel much more flimsy and get brittle in the freezer.
One of my favorite things is that I don't have to buy liners for my Drop-Ins. I just fold these bags over the edge (it's a tight fit, but it fits) and screw the nipple ring right over the bag. My husband figured this out and it saves us time and $$."
