"We bought this washer about a month ago and I have loved it since the first time I laid eyes on it. It sounds funny feeling this way about a washer but when you have college students, a teenager, a hard working man, and a mother all washing in your house it becomes true to heart. We needed the most efficient yet user friendly machine available for the best price and that's what we found with the LG washer. It's ..." Read Full Review

"One, don't plan on using above low spin if you are not on a concrete surface without the pedestal. Despite repeated attempts to level the machine, it shakes violently and "walks" out of its hole with every wash unless spin cycle is set to low.. Two, the nooks and crannies around the door gasket and drain are mildew and wash debris magnets. If not cleaned with a lot of effort often, expect moldy smelling clothes...." Read Full Review
"This front loader is fantastic especially the 1320 spin cycle. The clothes take half the time to dry. You need to learn how to use the different wash cycles to see which is best for the type of load you put in same for the dryer. It,s complicated at first but as you experiment you can judge what cycles work for you. So far so good I'm loving this washer/dryer. LG is top of the line hope this review is helpful to potential buyers. AJ Madison are the best price, I priced these appliances everywhere so do your homework it's a huge investment well worth it."
"I have owned at least three previous sets of washer/dryers, all of which have been Kenmore. Our latest pair died again after numerous repairs, even though they are only about 9 years old. We decided to buy new and wanted front loaders. After doing my normal investigation and ratings reviews, we went with the top of the line LGs in Midnight Blue. The units are very attractive and have blue backlit LCDs. The controls are very easy to use once you do a little reading of the manual. They are consistent for both washer and dryer. The guys from Sears delivered the day after purchase, a first for me! The units had no damage or blemishes and turned on without a hitch. I ended up moving them over about 6 inches and had to relevel. The delivery guys didn't leave me the adjustment tool that comes with washer. It is supposed to be yours so don't let them leave with it as a regular adjustable wrench doesn't work as well. Once I got the units releveled and reattached the dryer vent metal flex duct that hadn't been installed correctly, I was ready to give the units a real workout. They performed flawlessly. The clothes were cleaner than with my top load machine and much dryer when removed form the washer due to high speed spin cycle. My wife and I were amazed at how quiet the units operated. We tried all types of loads and cycles and all seem to work as advertised. We are just about to see if the steam in the dryer makes any difference as far a taking out wrinkles. The main reason we purchased the LGs over the Kenmores is we like the exterior look better, color ( blue versus burgundy), the LCD screen versus at least twenty five red LEDs, and the dryer has a stainless steel tub versus the white painted tub in the Kenmore. The costs were close with the LGs actually costing slightly less in store. I think the key to these running properly is to take the time to get them really leveled. Otherwise the shaking will drive you crazy with the high speed spin. Once that is accomplished, they run smoothly and are much quieter than my old top loaders."
"I have had this washer for about 3 weeks now, and I absolutely love it! I never thought I would actually look forward to washing clothes. It gets my clothes super clean. I actually think the colors look brighter, the towels and blankets are fluffier, not to mention the fact that I am saving tons of water with this washer. As far as the comments about it being noisy and vibrating. If you do not have it perfectly level in all directions it will vibrate. My husband thought it would be o.k. to just "eyeball it" and it practically vibrated across the room the first time it spun. After I got the level out and totally leveled it, I can't even hear it spinning now. The only sounds I ever hear are the water going into the soap dispenser cups at the beginning of the wash, and my laundry room is on the top floor with no doors. I have read the complaints about the mildew smell, so I am obsessive about drying out the rubber gasket when I get finished and leaving the door open until it dries out. We'll see if I have a problem with that in the future. I have only two complaints. The little chime it plays when it is done isn't loud enough, sometimes I can't hear it, and you can't just open the door and throw in a stray sock you missed. You have to stop it and wait forever for it to unlock the door. These are minor complaints. Overall this is an amazing machine and looks absolutely amazing in the blue. I just want to sit in the laundry room and stare at it!"
"Purchased both the washer and dryer, along with the Drawer Stands and the Remote Monitor.
It is hard to imagine how clean and fresh the laundry comes out with such a small amount of water used during the cycles. Even my husband mentioned the difference in how clean and fresh the clothes seem since we purchased the new LG Steam Washer. Stains in socks and deodorant stains in the under shirts are no longer there.
Laundry is no longer a chore. The LG takes the work out of doing the laundry. The front loading feature is a real benefit for people, both short and tall. No more trying to reach to the bottom of a top loader. Time to complete a load may be a little longer, but the results are well worth the little extra time. We have had the our LG Washer & Dryer for over 3 months now, and not once have we regretted purchasing this machine and are glad we made the decision to buy the top of the line. It has been a joy to use."
"My husband works in construction. I never thought any washer could get red clay out of a white T-shirt but this one does! And I love how fresh the towels smell. On the downside, when I use the pre-soak, the stain cycle, and the extra rinse for an extra-grungy load it takes about 2.5 hours. The upside - the delay option allows me to set the wash so it's finishing as I get home from work and the clothes are ready to go into the dryer - no waiting. Plus, there is a quick wash cycle if you need something in a hurry. This huge machine cuts the number of loads in half compared to my old "super capacity" washer, with a fraction of the water.
Some are put off by the need to wipe down the door seal after every load, but this takes only a few seconds and gets to be habit, like cleaning the lint from the dryer - worth it to extend the life of the seal."

Two, the nooks and crannies around the door gasket and drain are mildew and wash debris magnets. If not cleaned with a lot of effort often, expect moldy smelling clothes. Three, be near your hot water source or hot water will never reach it for hot and warm cycles. If you still insist on buying this machine, get the extended warranty. Ours quit working one year and one month after we bought it. Fortunetely we did buy the extended warranty, but are now looking foward several days/weeks at the laundromat."
"I purchased this machine to replace a 10 year old front loading washing machine.
My clothes go into the machine dirty and come out clean which is what a washing machine should do. But this machine cleans my clothes without the wear and tear of my last machine. My clothes last longer. Not to mention my water and electricity usage have gone down.
My king-size bedding fits in the machine, no more trips to the cleaners and no more cleaner bills.
This machine has a sanitize cycle which I use to clean pet bedding - this is one of the machines longest cycles, but it cleans the dirt and kills germs.
I use the steam feature to freshen up my clothes and remove some wrinkles. This is very convenient and easy to use.
I am very happy with this purchase!"
"Where do I start? OK! 4 units in two weeks. Sears could not supply us fast enough. Everything from leaking from the bottom when first started to error messages before even starting. (From first plug in). If this was a little cheeper I would (just maybe) use it as my boat mooring anchor. It is heavy and usefull enough for one. Bring your clothes to the river and pound on rocks it will be cheaper and that is what it seames like this unit is doing. No water ( or next to none) and a spining drum all you can hear is Fred Flintstones son. (BAM BAM) for those of you younger readers. 14 total Gallons for the whole wash, rinse and softener cycles. Less than 5 gallons per. How much soap or dirt do you think are still in there? If it is to late for you and you own one run it through a complete set of cycles with no soap and softener right after you just washed them. Look at the water through ths glass if you can see it! If not open the door and look with a flashlight. Still soap and dirt in the water? Yep me too. After the fourth machine that scrap steel was out of here. Got a Kenmore front loader in its place. (Check my review on that unit)"
